The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Applications team is looking for a Senior Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will help guide the delivery of our application portfolio, supporting various areas of our Finance and Back Office business teams. You'll be responsible for overseeing multiple teams of application developers, administrators, business system analysts, and quality engineers to ensure that Red Hat's global Business Enterprise systems are implemented, properly maintained, supported, and secure.
Primary job responsibilities
Work with the senior management to establish a strategic road map to ensure that priorities of a rapidly expanding company are met
Be responsible for ensuring that key goals are met on a short and long-term basis by leading the IT team on crucial projects within the accepted time and resource constraints
Develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment with their business objectives and strategy
Keep all stakeholders informed about outcomes and deliverables at a global and local level Interact with subordinate supervisors, customers, or functional peer group managers involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or teams, or customers and the company
Build and lead a global competent team of IT professionals and assume responsibility for career development, performance management, recruiting, mentoring, and providing direction and leadership
Research and recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, anticipating requirements, and recommending solutions
Manage risks related to financial and security compliance and also risks relating to project and program delivery
Develop and maintain vendor relationships and ensure that regular reviews and feedback are provided
Manage team costs and budgets, including responsibilities for forecast planning, spending controls, and variance oversights
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and by participating in professional societies at both a technical and financial front
Contribute to peer team effort by accomplishing related results as needed to move the organization forward
Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in business information systems, management information systems, computer science, or a related field; background or qualification in finance is a plus
8+ years of experience in the job offered or in a role that involves leading a technology team in the business applications domain, including experience leading and managing global technology teams consisting of IT managers, software developers, DevOps engineers, business analysts, quality engineers, and support analysts
Experience managing a $5m+ budget for a cost center with a clear understanding of capital planning versus operational spend
Experience creating requests for proposal (RFPs) and statements of work (SoWs), vetting solutions, and managing technology and vendor relationships
Experience initiating, leading, delivering, and managing cross-functional projects ranging from large transformation initiatives and custom solutions to cloud offerings; experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and enterprise performance management (EPM)
Proven experience working and partnering with business controls and Internal audit reviews
Experience with best practice integration methods and having worked in complex integration environments using a hybrid cloud infrastructure; components of integration will include Oracle, Salesforce.com (SFDC), Workday, and data warehousing
