This role oversees the activities of all (circa 40) Software applications used by E&G Operations, Engineering and Asset Management and Planning within the Networks Business. The role coordinates support activities, prioritizes tasks, supports projects and communicates task status with IT Management and the key stakeholders.
The role will work collaboratively with the different Business Management team and the IT Leadership team in collating, analyzing, prioritizing and planning various activities. Lead a team of 3-6 direct reports and 20-40 indirect reports in delivering an excellent service to the Customer Service Area.
.Develops, Maintains and Implements the Operations Application Roadmap.
2.Understands business processes and manages business relationships. Conduct governance meetings with business leads and reviews Roadmap/Portfolio, Maintenance Service Requests and SLA adherence.
3.Responsible for SAP deployments supporting the Operations Organization, including ECC for NY, ME, CT and MA companies and coordinating Global SAP changes.
4.Works collaboratively with the Operations and IT management teams in the development and maintenance of business applications/solutions, ensuring IT standards are followed.
5.Responsible to drive the annual demand process (PDS) with Operations. Work collaborative with the Business to analyze, characterize and prioritize projects, aligned to both Business and IT Strategies.
6.Responsible to manage all the applications maintenance and support requests for Operations. Work collaborative with the Business to analyze, characterize and prioritize the Backlog and monitors the progress of these requests on a regularly basis.
7.Manage and maintain the IT Application Inventory for Operations, looking for Efficiency, Integration/Consolidation and Evolution/Transformation.
8.Actively participates in IT strategic planning and other IT leadership processes as required.
9.Ensure effective lines of communication between various areas, processes and members are established and maintained. Engaging with IOC team members to ensure required resources are allocated to the different applications projects.
10.Leads a team of internal and external staff assigned to their area
11.Responsible for the staff performance evaluation process for direct reports, plus guidance and feedback for indirect reports. Proactively assesses IT resource requirements for business area initiatives which includes skill set requirements and training needs.
12.Manages and enforces IT standards, processes, policies and methodologies. Handles task prioritization, task assignment and task status reporting.
13.Manages budget and reports on budget variances.
Skills and Requirements
Management skills including staff development and budget
Strong overall understanding of relevant business procedures
Strong overall understanding of SAP modules, functionality and technology
More than 5 years of related experience
Functional and Technical experience on SAP, minimum 5 years ECC
Experience with large computer systems, from either a technical support position or a system administrator position
Experience with Application Lifecycle Management.
Project leadership and supervisory experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
Masters Degree (Preferred)
Experience of support role in business area or IT environment, preferred experience in an IT leadership role
