The Opportunity

Our marketing team has an exciting opportunity to drive our industry marketing initiatives. Reporting directly into the Director of Enterprise Marketing, this critical marketing position will help develop and execute the industry marketing programs that build awareness and consideration amongst key industry thought-leaders and decision makers, including benefits buyers, HR leaders, healthcare consultants and other business influencers.

We are looking for a creative problem solver with excellent verbal and written communication that has a passion for storytelling and narrative development, based on ability to research and synthesize themes based on various external inputs. What you'll likely work on:

  • Conceptualize and manage the design, execution, and optimization of industry marketing programs, including but not limited to: industry events (O&O and sponsored); thought-leadership content development; case studies; partner advocacy program; as well as core sales collateral

  • Harness industry insights and develop programs to influence the influencers (business leaders, healthcare consultants, HR leaders, benefits buyers), especially in new markets where awareness of One Medical in general is low

  • Manage program execution including timelines, return on investment/results, changes/improvements

  • Lead event strategy and execution, including pre, during and post event plans in coordination with demand gen marketer and sales / client services teams

  • Leverage storytelling skills and collaboration with the public relations team to build key narratives for sales, exec presentations, and thought-leadership

  • Monitor campaign performance via real-time listening and analytics dashboards, and respond, plan, and ensure optimization of marketing channels

You'll be set up for success if you have:

  • 10+ years experience in marketing, with 4-6 years experience in executing, optimizing, and reporting on industry marketing campaigns

  • Proven track record of working with cross-functional leadership teams and influencing leaders throughout an organization at the most senior level

  • Event production experience, including the management of external agencies and partner organizations

  • Fluency in the creative development process, including managing an agency team, working with creatives, and balancing stakeholders to develop work that is on brand, on strategy and on time

  • Technical proficiency in and passion for marketing analytics and the delivery of campaign reporting and insights to inform a cycle continuous optimization, ROI analysis, and executive recommendations leveraging tools including but not limited to Salesforce, Google Analytics and Tableau

This is a full-time role based in San Francisco, CA. To support our markets nationwide and key industry events, this role includes travel ~25% of the time.

We're looking for a Senior Field Marketing Manager to be the heart of our field marketing strategy, connecting Mapbox to customers and prospects across the globe. In this role, you'll define industry and region-specific event strategy that aligns with Sales and Marketing goals to drive revenue, adoption, and brand recognition. You'll ensure tactics are successful in driving account and lead growth from each region, working closely with Sales in the pre-event planning process to drive team buy-in, onsite and post-event success. The ideal candidate will have a results-driven mindset, creative ideas, and a scrappy, entrepreneurial spirit. What We Do You'll be joining our growing Marketing team to build out and grow the Field Marketing function of our efforts. This team will be responsible for overseeing strategy for all Mapbox events, including trade shows, customer parties, and happy hours, hosted conferences and workshops, customer roundtables, and speaking opportunities. This team reports to the Director of Marketing, but works closely with sales to understand their needs, goals, and industries to help guide their attendance and onsite event strategy. This team also manages relationships with all externals vendors and contractors, including space and booth builders. What You'll Do * Lead and grow a team of field marketers to support our global organization * Manage all aspects of event coordination including strategy, objectives, materials creation, event messaging/marketing, signage, giveaways, contract negotiation, vendor relations, site selection, registration, agenda scheduling, staffing, onsite production and F&B, and logistics * Organize and host in-person events that create net-new sales opportunities * Work with Sales Leadership to plan, execute, and track impactful quarterly event strategy to meet and exceed SQL and revenue targets. * Assist global sales teams by increasing local/regional brand awareness and driving leads and MQLs in the region * Research industry events and marketing/campaign opportunities and evaluate sponsorship based on Mapbox's objectives and target audience * Work with Marketing to create the campaigns, content, and materials necessary to make each event a success * Enable global sales teams to discover, attend, and propose meetups, happy hours, or attend-only events to support their core customers and on-the-ground insights. * Facilitate timely lead processing within SalesForce, measure event impact, and maintain post-event reports to track all event activity and make recommendations for future activity (KPI's, budgets/financial returns, ROI, planning, sizing) * Drive excellence in the field event discipline, deliver events that impress and stand out from the ordinary, and do so scrappily and at a scale that can connect with the breadth and personality of our audience * Significant travel required (~30-50% of the time) What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role * 5 - 7 years of related experience, with 1-2 years managerial experience, ideally in field marketing for start-up or B2B companies * Strong communication, negotiation, and budget management skills, with the ability to work across all levels of an organization * Extraordinary attention to detail, leaving no detail untouched * Experience using marketing automation and CRM systems, preferably Marketo and Salesforce * Experience managing external vendors and contractors * Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and run multiple concurrent project demands within established timelines * Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to manage expectations and keep teams on track * Self-starter comfortable working independently whose willing to handle high-stress situations with a "make it happen" attitude * Passion for results, measurement, and optimization to continuously drive ROI * Strong eye for design, knowing what booth designs, swags, assets, etc. will best represent our brand and set us apart What We Value In addition to our core values, which are not unique to this position and are necessary for Mapbox leaders: * We value high-performing creative individuals who dig into problems and opportunities. * We believe in individuals being their whole selves at work.
