What you'll do...
Leads end-to-end supply chain consulting and decision support services by leveraging analytical tools and various lean manufacturing and six sigma approaches to consistently and proactively deliver supply chain solutions. This team drives the execution of optimal supply and distribution plans and ensures plans are aligned and communicated with all stakeholders (for example, Finance, Transportation, Distribution Center Operations, Store Operations, Replenishment, Merchandising). To do this, the team drives cross-functional collaboration to enable holistic buying decisions while leveraging supply chain scale to influence and reduce overall cost of goods by partnering with the key stakeholders.
You will work with data and analyze supply chain variables to recommend end to end supply chain efficiency solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams such Store Operations, Merchandising, Replenishment, and other supply chain functions to gain influence; educating stakeholders on store, merchandising, and supply chain operational principals to establish understanding and appreciation for service needs. Your key responsibilities will include -
Collaboration & Influence: Collaborate with functional leadership and cross-functional teams to develop consultative solutions for multiple continuous improvement and agile response to market changes. Deploy upstream changes in optimization or data management to stakeholders. Manage the creation of and presents actionable recommendations to leadership (Sr. Directors/Directors) and stakeholders to contribute to business results. Serve as a subject matter expert to the business on transportation optimization and planning to support stakeholder needs.
Analytics: Utilizes a suite of analytical tools to provide current business diagnostics, supply chain decision support, cost mitigation strategies, and opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation by assessing and analyzing historical, current, and future supply chain optimization initiatives (for example, supplier efficiency, channel, replenishment, network planning); reviewing and analyzing internal processes to highlight opportunities for cost reductions and process efficiencies; aligning and driving business results and supply chain key performance indicators (for example, distribution center handling cost, store handling cost, improvement in network utilization, total cost to serve analysis); aggregating supply chain optimization solutions and benefit opportunities to realize savings based on the needs of the business; and embedding analytics into the modular planning process to enable self-service opportunities.
Strategic Thinking: Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
Project Management: Own multiple projects for analytics development, ad hoc analysis, and change deployment. Build an understanding of and identify stakeholder and operational needs. Develop plans and communicate priorities while managing risk associated with implementation. ensuring projects meet their intended outcomes within specified timeframes while maintaining quality standards
Continuous Improvement: Leads continuous improvement efforts by championing innovation to digitize current solutions and methodologies with input from key stakeholders; contributing to correction of errors processes and feedback loops to identify areas of opportunity and continuously improve service levels; and using end-to-end costing methodology and lean concepts (for example, activity based costing (ABC), value stream mapping) to reduce process waste, focus on priorities, and provide accurate cost recommendations.

You understand supply chain or transportation and operations, whether in retail environment or similar industries.
You learn and adapt quickly and are excellent at working on multiple cross-functional projects concurrently.
You are a problem solver and creative thinker: you think about finding the best solution that will work in days, instead of the perfect one that requires weeks.
You understand what it means to "own a project". Passionate and attentive self-starters, great communicators, amazing follow-through.
Proven analytics skills, and 4+ years of experience in quantitative analysis. With advanced knowledge of common tools such as Excel and SQL.
Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Hands-on experience with computation and data analysis tools such as R or Python.
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related discipline.
Bonus points: Advanced degree in Analytics, Engineering or Operations Research.
Bonus points: Functional experience working with transportation management systems or optimization.
