Position: Senior Manager I, Business Support
Job Location: 702 SW 8th St, Bentonville, AR 72712
Duties: Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance; accordingly, developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.
Drives quality and financial accuracy for business area by developing and implementing quality improvement processes and programs; evaluating operations; ensuring follow up audits and corrective action on quality issues are completed; establishing new or improved processes and procedures to increase operational performance and profitability and resolve work flow issues; developing approaches to minimize variances; ensuring systems are capable of producing accurate results; communicating best practices, current concerns, and corrective actions; and developing action plans for operational execution. Leads the execution and implementation of strategic initiatives by evaluating processes and procedures for potential improvement opportunities; collaborating with relevant teams to evaluate initiatives and determine plan capacity and capabilities needed for growth; providing feedback regarding plans; developing integration plans for strategic initiatives' support of operations; and identifying metrics to track accuracy and performance to ensure continuous improvement. Leads projects by guiding internal and external team members; maintaining and influencing project schedules and budgets, and risks; ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations; communicating project strategy as required; and driving milestone objectives. Manages research, analysis, and reporting activities of business area by reviewing, analyzing, and adjusting business processes and procedures to eliminate redundancies; establishing internal and external metrics and goals to support department objectives; creating and overseeing research guidelines; collecting, analyzing, and explaining variance reports and metric results; and communicating results and opportunities to cross-functional teams and vendors.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science or a related field plus 3 years of experience in project management or a related field.
Skills required: Must have experience with:
Building dashboards/visualizations using Tableau, Power BI by gathering data from various data sources; Performing root-cause analysis to identify data gaps and analyzing data to identify patterns, trends, correlations by writing complex SQL queries; Leveraging data science models and understanding the business impact using programming skills (Python, R or SAS); Reporting packages (business objects), databases, programming (ETL frameworks); Identifying business needs, requirements gathering, prioritizing needs, determining, and carrying out necessary processes to support key stakeholders; Collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy; Leading projects working with large data sets, finding insights, and providing actionable recommendations to the business; Building KPIs, Measures and metrics, and develop reporting solutions to support business needs; Data Stewardship: SQL queries validation/ optimization, understanding tables and relationships, data use, data replication, data connection, and data lineage; Working with cross functional teams (data science & data engineer) teams to meet urgent/ad-hoc business needs; Automating of analytical reports/data preparation processes using Python functions or SAS Macros.
