The Role

The HR Senior Manager coordinates and manages initiatives in support of the Personal Investing (PI) HR strategy with direction from the HR team. This role is part of the PI HR team supporting PI's Tax Exempt business and Fidelity's One Stop Life Shop which works across PI and Workplace Investing. This role will be involved in all aspects of the human capital strategy, including staffing, compensation, talent management, performance, engagement, development, diversity & inclusion, and more!

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelors or equivalent with 5+ years of experience or Master's Degree with 3+ years of HR or related experience.

  • Adaptability and resourcefulness to manage several priorities in a fast-paced deadline driven environment, having comfort with ambiguity

  • Excellent relationship building capabilities

  • Analytical approach with strong attention to detail and ownership for managing large quantities of detailed information with high levels of accuracy; ability to leverage date to tell a story

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to "tell the story" and communicate complex information to influence executive decision making

  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for helping an organization achieve greatness through its associates and leaders

  • Ability to quickly gain subject matter expertise and apply institutional knowledge to business decisions and quality analytics

  • Demonstrated independence, autonomy, resourcefulness, and accountability when executing your work, even in the face of ambiguity or limited precedent.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, proactively building collaborative and consultative relationships with peers and leaders/managers

  • Confidence to provide HR consultation and mentorship to guide and advise leaders/managers in initiatives

  • Ability to think strategically and pragmatically to execute and deliver the human capital strategy

  • Good judgment, strong business intuition, and understanding of how people and talent strategies can drive business results

  • Strong project manager with ability to think end-to-end and integrate priorities and services to ensure high quality delivery

  • Experience working in an agile organization and/or are familiar with agile principles

  • Strong business insight / intuition for business

  • Develop, align and execute HR strategies including programs and initiatives in support of the business strategy. Programs range across business unit-specific, functional and/or enterprise in nature.

  • Work alongside with partners in Compensation to ensure execution and understanding of compensation philosophies and strategies

  • Drive the integration of performance and business management processes to ensure clarity of goals and expectations for business results, align performance with rewards, and drive a culture of accountability for results

  • Assess organizational efficiency from multiple views of impact and either develop or advise on the development of solutions to support business strategy

  • Use data, measures and people analytics to provide key insights and influence organizational and talent decisions

  • Identify organizational capabilities and associated talent needs to deliver business results and build a plan to address using talent management tools and resources.

  • Manage and implement organizational change initiatives; may be accountable for leading a work stream or portion of a larger change management strategy

  • Partner closely with talent management team to execute initiatives that identify, assess, develop, engage and reward associates

  • Ensure development solutions are in place to close gaps and build capability & bench strength vital for future leaders of the business

  • Help to coordinate staffing/sourcing strategies and selection process for key roles

  • May assist, as required, in inquiries regarding sophisticated ER issues, working with legal, risk, compliance, and security

Services include foundational HR strategy and guidance, organizational development, on-boarding, benefits/payroll, employee relations and executive compensation, among others. </p><p>The Senior Consultant, Strategic & Operational Human Resources will have extensive experience supporting early-stage and publicly traded life science organizations, including biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare IT companies. The ideal candidate will have consulting experience with the ability to balance priorities of multiple clients at a time. This role requires a leader who provides executive-level guidance to the client and hands-on oversight that is often needed and typical in early-stage organizations. </p><p>The Senior Consultant is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the client organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation.
