Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Senior Manager, Heritage Communication and Programming. The position is located in New Brunswick, NJ.

POSITION SUMMARY

Based on GRIS data and other enterprise workstreams, Johnson & Johnson's longstanding heritage has been identified as is a driver of reputation and a differentiator for the business. The Senior Manager, Heritage Communication & Planning will develop and execute critical communication initiatives that highlight the company's longstanding heritage of pioneering human health. Partnering with global enterprise and sector teams, this position will work to identify and drive opportunities where heritage can play an integral role in communication platforms, programming, and initiatives. The role will also be responsible for day-to-day operations, event coordination and management of Johnson & Johnson Our Story at the Powerhouse, the corporate museum located in New Brunswick, NJ.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive the reputation of Johnson & Johnson through support and amplification of the company's longstanding heritage

  • Develop and execute creative and engaging integrated communication programs that support enterprise priorities and heritage communication strategy

  • Partner with Johnson & Johnson Chief Historian on overarching heritage communication plan and collaborate to build heritage stories, proof points, and messaging to enhance business and functional goals.

  • Build trusted relationships and collaborate with global enterprise, cross-sector communication partners, and other key stakeholders to identify opportunities where heritage can be leveraged as a key reputational driver in a variety of communication platforms, programs, and initiatives

  • Manage agency partners, vendors, and internal creative resources

  • Lead development of heritage communication projects from concept to completion; projects may include asset development such as videos, presentation and meeting materials, as well as digital content updates for museum website and social media properties

  • Responsible for daily collaborations with key internal and external partners, including working to secure necessary approvals on programs and materials

  • Manage budgets and day-to-day resources

  • Be a solid team player across the organization, assisting others on occasion with large meetings, major projects or occasional backup during absences

Manage day-to-day operations, event coordination, and management of Our Story at the Powerhouse

  • Ensure efficient daily operation of the Powerhouse by submitting work orders for necessary maintenance, liaising between A/V support both on and offsite for interactive issues, and arranging for both regular and special custodial support

  • Responsible for developing and implementing guest service policies and guidelines to ensure the highest possible guest experience, while continuing to ensure appropriate usage of Powerhouse facility

  • Develop and maintain communications and marketing material including Visitor's Guides, FAQs, and Special Events Guides

  • Oversee all scheduling taking place within the museum by serving as the single point of contact for facilities/maintenance work, special events, self-guided/guided tours, and teambuilding activities

  • Distribute weekly Powerhouse calendar of events and attend weekly meetings with New Brunswick campus event coordinator, facilities, security, IT, and catering staff to ensure alignment on Powerhouse calendar and schedule

  • Partner with cross sector departments (catering, facilities, security, A/V as needed) to ensure coordination and alignment on all special events

  • Plan and execute special events and functions and partner with Employee Resource Groups and other departments to develop engaging events for employees

  • Develop promotional material for Powerhouse-hosted events and advertise events using all available internal platforms

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate communications or related field

  • Experience working in a global function

  • Experience working in a matrix environment

  • Superior communications skills both written and verbal

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage complexity and instill trust

  • Ability to work well as part of a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to deliver a product on time and on budget

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships

PREFERRED

  • Advanced degree
