As a Senior Manager, Global Platform you will be responsible for managing and handling all types of data and systems hosted on physical platforms globally in BIC, reporting to Senior Director of Infrastructure and Service Management.

Your main scope will be to manage the BIC Platform Enterprise with primary objectives as follows:

  • Eliminating internal server rooms through the movement of systems into 3rd party datacenters.

  • Backup/restoration standardization.

  • Risk reduction across factories and subsidiaries by management of obsolescence.

  • Footprint reduction by consolidation and virtualization.

  • Management of ERP physical environment and OS.

  • Level 3 operational support

  • Standardization of technology and processes in partnership with Cyber Security and Service Management.

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of platform engineers and specialists, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the platform team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Implementing, integrating, and providing full support for hardware in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment, ensuring optimization and upgrades in a timely manner.

  • Resilience and disaster recovery adequate to support business operations according to SLAs agreed with business management.

  • Datacenter project work such as installations, moves and decommissions.

  • Systems administration, performance management, monitoring and maintenance.

  • Connectivity provision with the Network Team.

  • Support for the migration of solutions to cloud platforms.

  • Adherence to group IT policies and standards, specifically Cyber Security and ITSM processes.

  • Management of 3rd parties and contracts for associated services, licenses, etc.

  • Budget definition and control.

Role has management of:

  • Systems Implementation and Administration

  • ERP platform lead

  • Team leadership and development

  • Continuous Improvement

Financial Metrics:

  • Management of global platform budget

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or relevant experience.

  • Proven experience (10 years) in platform management, IT operations, or related roles, with a track record of successful platform implementations and optimizations.

  • Deep understanding of platform architectures, technologies, and best practices, including cloud computing (Azure), and virtualization.

  • Strong leadership in a global environment/team, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Solid understanding of security principles, risk management frameworks, and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Experience in project management, budgeting, and vendor management.

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent are a plus.

This role is based in Shelton, CT, with hybrid schedule.
