JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Manager, Global Luxury Partnerships is a strategic, entrepreneurial, and creative individual with a passion for culture, business development and luxury lifestyle. This role will support the Director, Luxury Partnerships on the development and execution of successful partnerships for the Marriott International Luxury Group portfolio with a focus on St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, EDITION, and cross-brand Luxury initiatives.

The Sr. Manager is a partnerships steward, supporting the development and execution of key concepts for Luxury Marketing and Partnerships that can drive brand awareness, engagement, and preference, and strengthen overall business. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for all aspects of partnership development and execution from ideation to contracting to ongoing management.

This position will manage and track partnership progress across functions, workstreams, and key milestones and oversee cross-functional execution to deliver on launch strategy and ongoing execution. They will work with external partners and agencies, as well as internal cross-functional teams including Brand Management, Brand Marketing, Content Marketing, Continent, Operations, Legal and Retail. As such, they will be responsible for developing clear partnership plans and strategies, and flawlessly executing through diligent management of stakeholders, contracts, timelines, milestones, and critical paths.

They will have a strong grasp of the brands they support and relationships with the related teams. The Sr. Manager should have the ability to clearly articulate the brand story, strategy, and objectives across stakeholder audiences through verbal and written presentations.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, passionate partnerships leader that is deeply immersed in cultural trends/experiences. They should also have a strong grasp of business fundamentals with the ability to tie creative concepts to business strategy and define results.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience Required

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related major AND

  • 5+ years' experience in the hospitality, luxury industry, partnerships, business development or brand marketing demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance OR

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience in hospitality, luxury industry, partnerships, business development or brand marketing, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.

  • Proven track record of managing and scaling complex brand marketing or partnership programs

  • Demonstrated project leadership and management skills, including a demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional project teams to deliver concrete actions and results.

  • Ability to successfully communicate complex ideas across the organization clearly in written and oral communication

Education and Experience Preferred

  • MBA
  • Experience in the Luxury industry

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Marketing Partnership Strategy, Development, Execution and On-Going Management

  • Develops and implements strategic Luxury Partnerships through the lens of global culture (sports, entertainment, lifestyle, business, tech, art, music, fashion, film, etc.) across the Marriott International Luxury Group portfolio

  • Develops new, economically viable sources of ongoing Partnerships that drive awareness, deepen loyalty, deliver new revenue streams, and create branded experiences

  • Drives Luxury Partnerships strategic planning including short and long-term objectives, research and insights, creative, messaging, experiential activation, and advertising/marketing communications in partnership with enterprise cross functional teams.

  • Drives concept development, ideation and execution including asset planning, marketing, approvals, planning/timelines and launches

  • Drives pre-transaction support including market, consumer and partner research and insights to support partner recommendations, deal parameters and contract negotiations

  • Develops and delivers high impact presentations and communications to present partnership marketing plans and plan updates to HQ senior leaders, Brand, Loyalty, Portfolio and Continent Marketing, and Hotel (e.g., GM) teams

  • Drives partnership negotiations and clearly articulates objectives and defines partnership terms.

  • Manages budgets for designated areas of responsibility.

  • Evangelizes Marriott International Luxury Group brands to partners.

For New York Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually. Marriott offers a bonus program, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued paid time off (including sick leave where applicable), life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, health savings account (except for positions based out of or performed in Hawaii), flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, pre-tax commuter benefits, other life and work wellness benefits, and may include other incentives such as stock awards and deferred compensation plans.
