The Customer Office drives sustainable membership growth and Movement health by engaging our girls, volunteers, parents, councils, and supporters to fulfill the Girl Scout mission. The teams in this community are involved with network alignment and advancement of mission delivery strategies; driving the full lifecycle management of products, platforms and program, both digital and physical; council leadership support and training; cultivation of national partnerships that drive membership growth; and movement property strategy and support. The teams work closely with all other GSUSA communities to bring an exceptional experience to our members and to ensure a vibrant, sustainably growing movement.

The Senior Manager - Girl & Adult Digital Content Strategy will own the content and delivery strategy across the Girl and Volunteer departments. This position will establish, implement, and evolve a sound content approach that will ensure a consistent voice and methodology across departments, nimble enough to evolve with the future of Girl Scouting.

Develop and maintain all content related to our Space Science badgesas outlined in the Reaching for the Stars: NASA Science for Girls grant. Including, but not limited to: partnering with external SMEs on all content related to badges; writing badge requirements for Daisy-Ambassador; writing VTK content for Daisy-Ambassador; writing, designing, and maintaining VTK Meeting Aids for Daisy-Ambassador; providing additional copy and editing support for all content related to the Reaching for the Stars: NASA Science for Girls grant.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end content strategy for Girl and Volunteer.

  • Design, lead and execute the vision of all digital and printed content for Girl and Volunteer departments, ensuring consistency across verticals.

  • Integrate this vision into all new content being created.

  • Create and own an efficient, cost effective, strategy for integrating this consistent approach into existing content.

  • Partner on business cases made for any and all deviations from the established content vision whether it be in style, format, or overall approach.

  • Socialize these deviations to the appropriate parties, creating informed organizational partnersprepared to defend our position internally and externally.

  • Establish strong cross-divisional partnerships to establish an actionable back/forward-forward/back approach to build a bridge between the existing and future state of our Girl and Volunteer content.

  • Create and own a tiered revision plan for digitized content.

  • Partner with external subject matter experts in developing program content.

  • Provide additional copy and editing support for all content.

  • Maintain/edit/update existing content across all grade levels and all channels (digital/print).

You Need

  • Degree or Equivalent Experience: Bachelor's degree in education, business or related fields, or equivalent relevant experience; Master's or Advanced degree certification in youth development or related field a plus.

  • Required Field of Study: Education, Business, Youth Development

  • Minimum Years of Experience: Five (5+) years of experience in youth-focused fields; Five (5+) years of experience in digital content development; Five (5+) years of experience in strategy development.

  • Team or project leaders within larger units where another layer of coordination is required; this includes a wide range of projects from those with limited scope to projects important to the future of the organization/movement.

  • Strategic planner with a demonstrated track-record of well-executed multi-year phased strategies within a matrixed environment

  • Knows how to synthesize input from a range of key stakeholders

  • Creative problem-solver and consensus-builder who can deftly manage competing expectations and creatively uses resources to deliver

  • Knows how to manage multiple priorities and multiple workstreams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communicating complex information with clarity to diverse audiences

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

The successful candidate will manage and be responsible for maintaining and editing the company's new intranet site, with a strong focus on making it as dynamic as possible through well-written and engaging content and compelling video and graphics. The Senior Manager will be adept at working with various internal constituents to gather and curate content and collaborating to meet the needs of the organization. In addition to the intranet, this position will be available as needed to work with other strategic employee communications projects and initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities: Intranet * Design and implement a compelling employee-focused and business-oriented editorial strategy. * Develop engaging content to reach key audiences. * Work collaboratively with other content creators through the editing process to ensure that content to be is compelling and on-brand. * Curate user-generated content from key business areas. * Oversee management of the content pipeline to deliver timely and relevant information and experiences across core channels. * Identify subject matter experts and internal influencers and support development of strategic content programs (employee spotlights, etc.). General * Write, editing and distribute a wide range of materials - including newsletters, email blasts, brochures, flyers, corporate publications and other collateral -- that support employee engagement. * Develop and execute strategies to highlight Healthfirst's unique culture and impact on the communities it serves. This should include finding innovative ways to utilize member stories and testimonials. * Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on issues related to digital employee engagement and recommend strategies and tactics based on experience and best practices. * Directs other projects (i.e. CorpComm lead on special company-wide projects, various employee communications, as appropriate. * Maintains awareness of and proficiency in current trends and practices within corporate communications. * Additional duties as assigned. * Strong project management and organizational skills with aptitude for managing simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment Minimum Qualifications: * 6 – 8 years of experience * Experience in overseeing and maintaining digital employee communications assets (intranet) * Experience in a supervisory role, a large-scale communications environment, preferably in health care setting * Excellent writing, editing and mentoring skills * Innovative approach to content, thinking beyond the written word to consider visual, video, audio, in-person experiences and more as possible channels. * Advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat * Bachelor's Degree Preferred Qualifications: * Experience and knowledge about posting and editing content in a SharePoint environment * MS Teams experience is a huge plus * Journalism or agency experience * Ability to multi-task, manage projects, and work closely with diverse departments throughout an organization to complete projects * Demonstrated experience advising senior leaders on effective internal communications * An established track record of creating internal communications strategies addressing targeted messages * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously Please be prepared to share some additional relevant content above and beyond your resume.
