The Senior Manager, Functional Product Lead (Marketing) oversees the development and enhancement of the digital solutions for marketing platforms. This individual works closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and customer experience teams, to develop and implement innovative marketing strategies that leverage data-driven insights and automation into ongoing marketing program campaign execution. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing our marketing technology stack to support ongoing marketing operations but also has knowledge and hands on experience leading the activation of Salesforce's Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud platform for our business.

  • WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Product Strategy:

  • Support the development of product strategy for the marketing web platforms, aligning with overall business objectives and customer needs.

  • Conduct user feedback sessions and vendor assessments to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage and enhance the product features and capabilities to optimize the value and experience for the end users.

  • Support the development of the annual budget for the marketing web area; manage costs against approved budget.

Product Management:

  • Manage and maintain the Salesforce Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud platforms, including data integration, data cleansing, and data management.

  • Develop and implement data and marketing strategies that align with business objectives and ensure data quality and security.

  • Collaborate with architects, analysts, and developers to design and implement data models, data queries, data visualizations, email marketing campaigns, template design, audience segmentation, and send scheduling.

  • Stay current with new marketing technology trends and innovations.

  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve marketing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Implement best practices and standards for marketing technology governance.

  • Implement automation practices for triggered and scheduled campaigns to ensure outbound communications efficiency.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers and other stakeholders, driving to a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to understand business needs and requirements.

  • Collaborate with marketing and customer experience teams to develop and implement marketing and customer experience strategies that leverage data-driven insights and automation.

  • Train and support team members on marketing technology tools and best practices.

  • Provide coaching, support, and professional development opportunities to team members, empowering them to achieve their full potential.

  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team, creating a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage and optimize the governance structure in place to oversee all vendor delivery and services.

  • Provide metric-based scorecard to ensure resources are optimized and any issues are proactively addressed.

  • Monitor vendor costs against budget and identify opportunities to reduce costs.

  • Assess vendor risks and strategic alignment throughout the lifecycle of the vendor relationship and identify alternative vendor partners as needed.

Capacity Management:

  • Engage in level-of-effort estimation to support project scoping, pricing, and planning, including SOW negotiations for internal and external staff augmentation.

  • Ensure teams are forecasting demand (across incidents, maintenance, enhancements, and projects) and adjusting based on trends and priority changes.

  • Maximize resource capacity by leveraging internal and external resources and cross functional collaboration.

  • Identify resource constraints or risks and provide mitigation options to ensure effective and efficient operations in the Web marketing team.

  • ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Master's Degree (Preferred)

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years s combination of experience spanning the following areas:

  • Experience managing digital marketing technology - such as Salesforce Data & Marketing platforms, marketing automation platforms, email marketing services, and related data analytics tools.

  • Experience with DevOps methods and technologies.

  • Experience managing & leading a team.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in consumer goods industry (Preferred).

Software/Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of digital marketing technology (i.e. Salesforce Data & Marketing Platforms, marketing automation platforms, email marketing services, and related data analytics tools).

  • Knowledge of DevOps methods and technologies.

Other Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

  • Ability to successfully lead teams and drive marketing web initiatives from concept to launch.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strategic thinking skills with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable product solutions.

  • Strong understanding of data management, data privacy, and data security principles.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS FOR THIS ROLE

  • This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers. #LI-Hybrid

  • The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000 per year.

  • Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data.
