To help drive ad sales revenue, Sales Communications develops strategic marketing communications, delivered in creative ways, to persuade clients to partner with ESPN. Our materials leverage a combination of compelling visual storytelling, thoughtful design, research-fueled insights and unexpected motifs to deliver ESPN's message to the advertising marketplace. The ideal candidate will have multimedia experience, as well as some experience with the Hispanic/multicultural marketplace.

  • Develop and personally produce customized, smart, creative and persuasive ad sales messaging around:

  • ESPN/ESPN Deportes sports and franchise positions

  • Key research stories

  • Data positioning

  • Overall ESPN/ESPN Deportes stories

  • Develop and produce a wide range of client-ready sales communications as required by given project parameters:

  • Material and positioning with ESPN Ad Sales app

  • Persuasive talking points

  • Creative collateral materials (poster-boards, hand-outs, brochures, etc.)

  • Presentations that visually convey compelling positioning stories

  • Videos (simple sizzle videos and more complex positioning videos)

The Franchise Consultant will assist approximately 35-40 Franchisees across primarily Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Hartford, Richmond, Roanoke. The focus is to increase salon revenues and earnings by providing a wide range of consulting and management/employee development services for multiple concepts. The Franchise Consultant works closely with the Franchisees to develop and facilitate strategic initiatives for their sales growth and profitability. The Franchise Consultant is expected to provide service in a manner aligned with the goals of the company and the franchise community, ensuring consistency through education and guidance on operational issues. Utilizing your background in building salon business, this role will assess current business practices and recommend solutions based on findings. Responsibilities * Determine pre-opening, opening and ongoing operational needs for franchisees and provide related training, follow-up and general assistance. * Consult with Franchisee and management team, either alone or with Service Team members; to determine needs of Franchisee by market and by salon and establish action plans to assist Franchisees in meeting growth potential. Provide written confirmation of recommendations after each visit. * Monitor operational standards and report unacceptable performance to Franchisees as well as corporate staff if necessary. Provide written follow-up. * Review sales and results of current marketing initiatives and depending on the results make recommendations for additional promotional opportunities while focusing on cost containment. * Provide training classes in management, leadership and merchandising in support of the franchise system. Training and development programs may be provided to all staffing levels, from stylist, to manager, to District Managers and Franchisees. * Work to customize programs based on the knowledge of the Franchisees salon operations, management training practices and staff development needs. Qualifications * High school diploma or GED. * Cosmetology or Barber license preferred. * Must be flexible, have excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving, time management, administrative and interpersonal skills. * Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel. * Proficiency in communications: phone, email, in person and in writing. * Valid driver's license and Passport and be insurable for driving under the company's insurance policy. * Business degree in Management, Finance, Marketing, or 3+ year's equivalent business such as business ownership, management or consultant experience in the hair or other related industry preferred Physical Requirements * 70% car, air and overnight travel within and outside of the assigned geographical territory.
