We are seeking a highly skilled professional with proven experience in GAAP and SEC financial reporting practices to join us as Senior Manager, Financial Reporting. This is a key role with responsibility for managing our external and internal financial reporting function, leading a high-performing team, providing oversight and expertise on technical accounting and disclosure issues, and driving continuous improvements and enhancements to our reporting processes.
Responsible for preparation of quarterly and annual external financial statements in compliance with GAAP and SEC requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and accompanying information and facilitating management and auditor reviews.
Assists with monthly/quarterly internal reporting, including preparation and review of financial statements, key financial metrics, and detailed variance analysis. Identifies and implements improvements to financial schedules, reports, and processes.
Provides investor relations support, including preparation and review of quarterly earnings call materials and assistance in responding to analyst and investor inquiries.
Manages preparation of debt compliance calculations and documentation.
Addresses accounting and disclosure issues through technical accounting research. Develops well-reasoned conclusions and prepares documentation in a clear, logical, and comprehensive manner.
Maintains technical expertise and knowledge of newly issued accounting standards. Evaluates financial statement presentation and disclosure impacts of new standards.
Ensures compliance with internal controls requirements over financial reporting processes.
Leads, coaches, and develops a team of 2-3 financial reporting professionals.
Assists with special projects (valuations, M&A, financings, etc.), as needed
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
10+ years of relevant experience with emphasis in public company financial reporting and/or public accounting
Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Track record of meeting deadlines while balancing multiple priorities simultaneously
Demonstrated strong organizational skills with critical attention to detail
Adaptable to rapidly changing business needs and priorities
Strong team orientation, with demonstrated ability to build rapport and maintain productive working relationships cross-functionally
