The Manager / Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis ("FP&A") will be the first hire in the Company's FP&A department, responsible for building a department and team to partner with the individual businesses. This individual will support the Senior Director of Finance in all aspect of FP&A, including planning and budgeting cycles, management reporting, business partnering, financial reporting systems and processes development, and ad-hoc analytics. This is an excellent position for an individual with a strong entrepreneurial drive to quickly grow and add value from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting

  • Help to define, execute, and manage long and short-term models and forecasts for revenue, expenses, and capital

  • Partner and lead meetings with Business Heads, supporting them in developing and achieving financial goals and objectives for their functions

  • Support brand pricing decisions and planning

  • Develop Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting Policies and Procedures

  • Support Global and Regional budgeting/forecasting cycle requirements

  • Work with Controller and Commercial teams to ensure accurate revenue and gross to net forecasts

Develop Financial Processes

  • Define standard financial reports for Executive management, Commercial, and G&A Departments

  • Support Accounting by driving and supporting the monthly/quarterly accrual process

  • Develop Financial Management Reporting Policies and Procedures

  • Drive production of monthly, quarterly, and annual Management Reporting

  • Work with Controller to define and implement process for the production and analysis of Gross to Net Balance Sheet Reserves

  • Lead and Coach FP&A team defining reporting lines, roles & responsibilities, in-house vs outsourced process ownership.

  • Hire and develop the finance team to effectively support Company's growth

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field

  • Pharmaceutical experience required

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • Prior Big 4, consulting, or investment banking experience a plus

  • 6 to 10 years of FP&A or related experience

  • Good technical (accounting) knowledge

  • Excellent IT skills and abilities - current systems include Microsoft Dynamics, Excel, DIVA

  • Able to deliver accurate results within tight deadlines

Physical Requirements:

  • Some travel may be necessary

  • Strict adherence to deadlines can involve "after hours" working, to achieve Japanese and affiliate (US and European) communications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for partnering with internal and external business and technical teams to ensure smooth implementation of new ZELIS accounts and/or new products with existing Zelis accounts * Coordinates and assists with the management of implementation activities, including but not limited to the management of schedules, resource allocation needs and deliverables for a specific account * Accountable for communication both internally and externally around the activity and the fulfillment of all requirements per the contract with partners and clients * Document scope of work in all stages of implementation; noting customizations, routing rules, technical requirements and other business needs identified during the implementation process * Provide status reports via defined Zelis application as well as customized reporting as requested * Partner with Operations to advise of new client set up and other relevant matters surrounding implementation * Partner with Sales and Account Management with implementation activities from kick off to post production hand off of client * May assist with the analysis of new accounts and expansions * Maintain project plans for any assigned implementation and project work * Work closely with internal PMO and Operations teams to ensure proper subject matter expertise is available to support implementation process * Work closely with EDI team during implementation process to ensure EDI workflow is defined and executable * Interact and communicate with Adjudication Partners as applicable related to implementation of mutual clients * Maintain awareness of and ensure adherence to ZELIS standards regarding privacy PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: * Demonstrates proficiency in leading, coordinating and driving client implementation projects both with internal and external facing entities * Lead and individual contributor on assigned projects * Electronic Claim Processing Knowledge Required * Experience working with healthcare claim adjudication partner vendors a plus * Strong healthcare industry background, specifically in the healthcare claim processing and solution space required * Demonstrates strong understanding or experience with Zelis like products * Demonstrates solid understanding of creating project plans and adhering to project plans/timelines * Has proficiency in partnering with IT for new vendor implementation and creation of new EDI interfaces * Technical task management, working with multiple divisions/departments is required for this role. Expert organizational skills are required. * Knowledge of core business products and services within the claim administrator, claim software space with the ability to perform needs assessments and uncover obstacles.
