Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

The Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial analysis and valuable insights to the organization. The Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and maintain processes to produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and forecasts in both US GAAP and IFRS as well as on a cash basis, forecast financial results, including annual, quarterly and monthly financial statements, from both GAAP (IFRS and US GAAP) and cash perspective

  • Participate in the budgeting process, compare budget to actual and reforecast

  • Analyze and understand budget to actual comparisons relative to the financial forecasts

  • Establish business processes to enhance information flow and facilitate decision making and budget management

  • Develop and maintain a cash forecast to support the strategic planning process

  • Set up reporting tools in SAP by Design to monitor operating budgets, assist in the set-up and on-going management of operating budgets and expense classification

  • Prepare, analyze cost analysis, key performance indicators and other business operating metrics

  • Enforce company policies and procedures

  • Partner with accounting staff to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements

  • Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis


  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance

  • MBA degree and/or professional qualifications (i.e. CFA or CPA) preferred

  • 7+ years of relevant, demonstrated & practical experience developing robust financial statements as well as business-case modeling

  • Prior leadership experience in a corporate FP&A function

  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting skills (GAAP)

  • Expertise in business analytics and tools including advanced Excel skills

  • Expertise is Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience in a pharma/manufacturing company

  • Available to travel as needed


  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills

  • Strong presentation and communication skills and leadership presence to effectively collaborate across functional teams

  • Experience preparing and presenting information to an executive team

  • Organizational agility, knows how to get things done through formal channels and informal networks

  • Insatiably curious and collaborative problem solver

  • Action oriented and takes ownership of tasks and responsibilities and follows through to successful completion

  • Collaborator with colleagues in-side and out-side of the accounting and finance group

  • Balance and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Must be able to work various shifts and/or weekends on an as needed basis
