Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000

Overview

The company's central financial planning and analysis group serves as the critical support partner for Summit's senior leadership team. The team is responsible for the development and/or analysis of all strategic, financial, and operational aspects of the company's operating units and portfolio transformation. The Sr. Manager of FP&A Reporting & Consolidation will serve as a key member of the corporate financial planning and analysis team in Denver, CO with visibility to senior leadership. The primary responsibilities are to support the VP, FP&A, and the Director, FP&A, and all members of the central FP&A team in the development and analysis of the annual budget, strategic plan, and monthly forecasts, and provide reporting and analysis of monthly operating results for Summit consolidated. In order to succeed, this individual will utilize both relationship building and strong analytical skill sets to maintain current reporting and analytics, as well as develop new metrics as needed to support the Senior Leadership team, Board of Directors and other Investor relations needs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Key Data Steward for financial reporting across Summit.

  • Manage central FP&A reporting and analysis with accountability for data accuracy, identification of risks and opportunities, and ownership of reporting and metric definitions. Partner with all operating unit and Region finance teams on reporting accuracies, ad hoc questions and timeliness. Own consolidated reporting, including Segment & Regional reporting, to support management reviews including with senior leadership, Board of Directors or in support of Investor Relations team.

  • Own all templates and data accuracy within Hyperion for flash, forecasts, annual budget, strategic planning and other key data sets like predecessor information related to M&A.

  • System management of Hyperion Planning and it's connection and accuracy with HFM and other financial reporting tools, in alignment with GAAP and Management reporting policies.

  • Support Future of Finance strategies to enhance and streamline financial reporting schedules and metrics with inclusion of a diverse Finance team across operating units for support.

  • Support continued enhancements and larger projects related to Hyperion planning & forecasting models and other Finance transformation projects.

  • Develop, review and analyze forecast information gathered from tax, treasury, central FP&A, industry trends, foreign exchange rates, etc.

  • Create, modify and distribute monthly reporting results timely and accurately. Ensure alignment with Corporate Accounting. Manage consolidated balance sheet and cash flow reporting and forecasting.

  • Participate in monthly financial reviews (to be developed) and annual Budget reviews with each of Summit's operating units and evaluate performance.

  • Support the Senior Leadership Team meetings throughout the year with relevant financial updates including an updated financial forecast and any other hot topics as determined by the CEO, CFO and VP, FP&A.

  • Review and support flash reporting for a snapshot of revenue and EBITDA. Manage weekly flash reporting throughout the month.

  • Support business case analysis and other KPIs for ad-hoc requests and M&A projects.

  • Support the central FP&A team with key strategic initiatives and ad hoc requests through data gathering, analytics and putting together a business case for review by Senior Management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in complex financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.

  • Financial and performance analysis experience & strong financial skills required.

  • Must be able to function in a fast paced environment with evolving business needs.

  • Strong project planning management experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment & to be a team player

  • Highly organized & achievement-oriented

  • Self-starter, able to handle multiple demands & competing priorities

  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills

  • Ability to effectively present findings to management in a clear and concise manner

  • Solid understanding of GAAP and Internal Controls

Education & Experience:

  • BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related field.
  • MBA or relevant certification (CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or Accounting fields with thorough understanding of Accounting and public company reporting and policies.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
