Job Details

The Manager of CSG Finance will be responsible for managing the global Customer Success Group operating budget and headcount plan. This role interfaces frequently with SVP of Customer Success and prepares Executive level reporting and analysis. With an increased effort to serve and support our existing customers while developing a revenue generating Professional Services group, the CSG team is the fastest growing group in the organization. Aside from traditional reporting and analysis, this role is extremely strategic and collaborative with upper level management at the CFO and SVP level. This role calls for a strong, proactive individual who has a proven track record who can autonomously drive projects in a fast paced, collaborative environment and interface confidently with executive level management

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the rolling CSG Operating Plan, inclusive of COGS, Headcount, T&E, ProServ, and other operating expenses.

  • Manage and plan Salesforce.org's Global Services Revenue Portfolio, inclusive of Advisory Services and Strategic Services, as well as the capacity model and pro-forma P&L for each services channel

  • Present to the executive team and CSG leadership on a regular basis analyzing business performance, KPI's, and Service team performance

  • Manage, analyze, and forecast loss of business metrics and gross margin

  • Assist Finance Director and Business Leaders in analysis and presentation of strategic materials for key management metrics

  • Work cross functionally with the CSG Management & Operations team to analyze projects and analysis related to areas including attrition, resource planning, margin analysis, and project spend.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating key messages to senior management

  • Work collaboratively with the CSG Operations team on a quarterly basis to reforecast the key business metrics, bookings, headcount, operating margins, and operating expenses.

  • Run the Annual Planning Process cross functionally with the Corporate Finance team as well as the CSG Management team

  • Participate in Long Range Planning process for the CSG team including COGS, Operating Expense, Headcount, Services bookings, Services revenue, and Attrition

  • Assist in other ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or CPA preferred

  • 8+ years of FP&A or business finance experience, including experience at a global company

  • 4+ years experience in business partnership with VP level business leaders and experience in strategic planning in business operations

  • P&L, Revenue (SaaS) and COGS experience strongly preferred

  • Track-record in process re-engineering and optimization

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment

  • Ability to work cross functionally and influence appropriately

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Able to think strategically and operate effectively with management

  • Experience with the following systems- Workday and Anaplan
