Summary of responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and partner with multiple cross functional teams to drive forecasting, key performance metrics and ensure spend is within company budgets and guidelines

  • Own and drive monthly financial package, forecast and business reviews

  • Develop and report key metrics monthly and quarterly for senior leadership

  • Drive thought leadership in providing actionable insights and highlight early trends in business performance

  • Prepare ad hoc business case, pricing, and ROI analyses to provide decision support and to help prioritize engineering resources

Desired skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree; Finance or Accounting preferred; Technical degree and/or MBA a plus

  • 10+ years professional FP&A experience

  • Experience at a SaaS company

  • Expertise in financial planning and analysis, including: analysis, forecasting, planning, reporting, and developing financial models

  • Ability to collaborate and create effective partnerships across multiple organizations

  • Superior problem solving skills and ability to communicate effectively

  • Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality of output

VIEW JOBS 4/21/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-20T00:00 We are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join our New England Innovation Center (NEIC) team located in the Greater Boston Area. Job Duties and Responsibilities * Bring both a strategic and operational focus to the UAS New England Innovation Center (NEIC) site for program planning and financial operations, with a particular emphasis on delivery of solid financial plans and improved compliance and controls. * Responsible for overall NEIC locations financial forecasts and reporting. Participate in indirect budget planning and headcount planning and tracking. Provide monthly forecasting and variance reporting, preparation of monthly financial information in support of reviews by Senior Management. * Provide financial guidance based on organizational goals and company policy * Ensures compliance with internal procedures and government procurement regulations. Monitor and ensure implementation of financial policies (including but not limited to: Revenue Recognition, Timekeeping, Cost Allowability, Inventory, Estimating System compliance, etc). Provide day-to-day financial direction to the NEIC site. * Support internal and external audits. Continually review and challenge program Estimates at Complete (EAC), ensuring appropriate profit margins are recognized. Identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect profitability, growth, and productivity. * Oversee program cost control activities; Understand and participate in the control of costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost/schedule control system. Oversee the preparation of budgets and schedules for specific programs and financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis. * Support Indirect Department Budgeting for the NEIC departments including utilization reviews and detailed variance analysis * Support Proposal activity for new captures including negotiations while working with home office proposal / costing team to develop compliant price / cost volumes. * Assist in the development of detailed integrated master Program Schedules for on-contract, internal research and development & new captures * Support the UAS Finance Business Operations team with program control responsibilities. Required Qualifications & Background * Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent (MBA preferred) * Six to eight (6-8) years of experience in relevant disciplines. * Knowledge of costing and pricing complex manufactured products and development contracts. * Knowledge of Government Cost accounting principles and FAR * Knowledge of ASC-606 "Revenue from Contracts with Customers" * Demonstrate a keen awareness and interest in business operations including the ability to help create business strategies and objectives. Ability to understand business activities with a view broader than just the finance function. * Strong analytical, presentation, business writing and problem solving skills * Ability to communicate information, both orally and in writing, to customers as well as the program management team and senior management * Ability to manage multiple, critical projects simultaneously and enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. * Should have current expertise in: 1) MS Office Suite, 2) Hyperion, 3) ERP System such as Oracle EBS, 4) ProPricer, 5) MS Project/or Fast Track desirable Aerovironment Boston MA
