The Moovweb Experience Delivery Network (XDN) delivers sub-second commerce websites. Our products powers sites visited by 1/3 of Americans each month and is trusted by some of the largest brands in the country, including United Airlines, Harley Davidson, Nordstrom, 1800Flowers, four of the top seven US insurance brands, and a number of the top 50 banks. In the last two years, we've expanded our product from a niche mobile web add-on tool to one that is disrupting the multi-billion dollar CDN/Web Performance Optimization and eCommerce Platform markets. The Senior Manager of BizOps and Finance will play a huge role in accelerating this growth.

Position Overview

Reporting to the CEO and Part-Time CFO, the Finance and BizOps leader will be responsible for managing financial planning and running BizOps. At Moovweb, BizOps is intimately linked with our systems and financial planning. This is a hands-on position that is best suited for an individual with long-term career goals of a Vice President, then CEO, GM, COO or similar. The Finance and BizOps leader will work closely with the board as part of the management team. Individuals with a background in investment banking, private equity or management consulting will do well in this position. A background in accounting and finance at a startup is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run financial planning including the annual board-approved plan, operating model, departmental models, and ad-hoc models

  • Partner with outside firms and oversee contractors to run the financial back office

  • Drive month-end and year-end accounting close process

  • Manage customer invoicing, collections, and 606 revenue recognition

  • Process vendor invoices and payments accurately and on time

  • Negotiation of vendor contracts and manage vendor relationships

  • Oversee cash management to meet the financial plan, annual taxes return, state taxes, bank compliance, and statutory filings

  • Work with HR and an outside legal team to manage Cap table

  • Manage professional services automation software with VP of PS to ensure the validity of projects

  • Manage payroll including bonus and sales commission planning

  • Select 1-2 aspects of the business per quarter, to radically enhance ROI and operations efficiency (marketing ROI, upsells, professional services profitability, etc.)

  • Support organizational efforts to manage operating expense, headcount and other resources/costs

Experience & Education

  • Four to six years of relevant experience

  • Undergraduate degree required, MBA or equivalent highly preferred

  • Startup experience

  • Background in accounting and finance

  • Previous payroll experience

  • Experience developing and improving processes with the desire to influence change across the organization

  • Knowledge of Quickbooks online, SaasOptics, Budgeta (SageIntacct), Expensify, Hubspot, PersistIQ, Airtable,, Small Improvements, Forecast or similar tools and software

The manager will be part of a high-performance team chartered with driving Zendesk's Sales Strategy & Analytics into the mid-market and enterprise segments, including setting financial goals, sales force composition, partner channel and deep analytics. The Senior Manager is an individual contributor role and will report to the Head of Sales Strategy & Analytics and will collaborate across the company to drive key initiatives. The successful candidate will have a relentless curiosity, and possess a passion for creating innovative strategies and deep analytical framework to capture market share and monetize Zendesk products. Moreover, he or she will excel at developing recommendations that transcend the numbers with outstanding communication skills, high initiative, and strong leadership drive. Candidate should be able to generate hypotheses, independently analyze complex data and make strategic recommendations despite uncertainty and ambiguity. Responsibilities: * Work closely with sales leadership to develop and help drive Sales Strategy * Lead analysis of business performance to identify future roadblocks and present strategic recommendations to GTM leadership for decision making and investment * Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives and link strategy to operations by partnering with key business partners including BizOps and PMO * Identify untapped market potential, then develop and implement plans to capture it * Support strategic initiatives developed by GTM leadership or strategy team * Work closely with sales ops to analyze and identify opportunities for sales productivity improvement Desired Qualifications and Experience: * 7+ years of prior work experience in a strategy consulting or analytics type role * Exceptional problem-solving skills: demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, perform deep analytics, derive business insights and develop solutions * Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate complex information to functional leaders and executives * Understanding of software industry / SaaS sales and marketing models is a plus * Experience in sales, marketing, or customer success is preferred * Highly collaborative, team player who can work cross-functionally * Bachelor degree preferably in an analytical discipline such as mathematics, engineering, computer science, economics, etc. * MBA Preferred Zendesk builds software for better customer relationships.
