The challenge

Adobe's Field Communications organization is a highly leveraged group working cross-functionally with the company's senior field leadership and teams, as well with corporate functions such as global marketing, product business units, customer & employee experience, and finance.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Director of Field Communications, the Senior Manager, Executive Communications and Field Communications is responsible for providing communications support to Adobe's Vice President of Americas Sales, and for managing key field communications programs.

  • Responsible for the internal and external executive communications platform, strategies and programs for Adobe's Vice President of Americas Sales and, as needed, members of the executive sales leadership team.

  • Serve as the trusted communications advisor to the VP by demonstrating a thorough understanding of the organization, company, industry, and competition.

  • Manage communications platform to support the VP's written and verbal communications, such as internal organizational emails and All Hands meetings, as well as external customer meetings and industry event presentations.

  • Partner with the VP to provide sophisticated, ongoing speaker and communication coaching.

  • Prepare presentation materials for internal and external audiences, demonstrating understanding of complex technologies and market/competitive challenges, including the ability to distill them into clear, concise messaging.

  • Expand and refine the VP's external presence through thought leadership activities, including social media presence and bylined article content.

  • Lead key field communications programs, collaborating effectively with direct team members, as well as global stakeholders across the field organization, global marketing organization and product business units, such as:

  • Diversity & Inclusion communications initiative focused on Adobe's field organization

  • Field-facing communications focused on competitive intelligence and M&A activity

  • Communications for Americas sales organization presence at Adobe's annual worldwide sales conference

What you need to succeed

  • 10+ years of executive communications, employee communications, and/or corporate communications experience;

  • College diploma or BA/BS degree in a related discipline;

  • Proven experience providing executive communications support to senior business leaders;

  • Strong understanding of enterprise software and sales in a communications practice;

  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communications abilities;

  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail;

  • Demonstrated strength in working with a variety of global, cross-functional teams;

  • Excellent creative and strategic thinking;

  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities; and

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with global teams and cultures

Responsibilities: * Build a first of its kind internal communications function; developing strategic communication strategies that support the direction of the company's mission, values and business goals. * Assist with research, metrics, and innovative communication channel strategies, ensuring alignment between strategy and communication. * Identify key messages and craft materials that effectively convey the appropriate information to a diverse and global audience. * Think creatively and create messages that help connect employees to Calix's mission, values and culture. * Provide strategic input on messaging, positioning, and influence internal stakeholders as needed to ensure communications provide context, clarity, and are aligned with our desired tone and unique personality. * Develop effective strategies to recognize and broadcast major accomplishments and success stories internally across the company. * Ensure extraordinary quality in copy, design, recording, and messaging. * Mature employer brand content that illuminates our culture and conveys compelling narratives about the employee experience. * Proactively seek out opportunities to identify and remediate communication gaps and create feedback channels to help ensure a steady flow of communication within the organization. * Identify communication needs for various worker types, while developing strategies and channels to address those needs. * Measure and report regularly on the effectiveness of your communication efforts (saturation, traffic, sentiment, and behavior). * Create, maintain, and champion a human-to-human communication culture (collaborative, communicative, honest and transparent). * Take the initiative to provide your professional perspective to influence others. * Develop, track, and maintain detailed communication project plans and timelines to ensure successful delivery of communication campaigns. Qualifications: * Minimum bachelor's degree in Communications, English or related field. * 3-5 years professional experience in a fast-paced, deadline driven business, media, or technology environment. * Strong interpersonal and communications skills * Self-motivated and excited to take on challenging projects * Experience communicating to a broad population, including technologists and engineers and field operations teams across the globe. * Demonstrated experience with media and leveraging a variety of communications tools and channels (email, social media, visual, etc.) * A compelling storyteller. Ability to develop eye-catching headlines, is a plus. * Strong project management skills. Proven ability to think, plan, and execute on multiple projects simultaneously. * A deep, personal drive to help others succeed, and a passion for the discipline. * Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges * Demonstrated ability to take initiative, collaborate and work effectively with cross functional teams and at all levels of a rapidly changing organization. * Ability to quickly grasp information across a variety of disciplines, translate complex ideas and move with agility to create clear, easy to understand communications for a range of audiences. * Able to influence "up and down" to achieve project objectives (i.e. soliciting and reconciling feedback from multiple sources).
