JOB SUMMARY Manage factory location NPI engineering & technician staff to execute regional Product Leadership into North American Manufacturing locations (US and Mexico). Factory lead for overall location NPI activities. Work directly with GPO platform leadership, consisting of: architect lead, sub-system lead, project lead, planner lead, GAME, CME and factory engineering and production leaders for site specific NPI requirements and WPD execution.


  • Site lead for overall coordination & execution for all Mega, Major, Minor and Model Line product launches. Manage all POS & IOC requirements (Project Objective Summary & Impact of Change) that impacts all product architectures at the manufacturing site.

    Scope and execute all manufacturing requirements. Includes: factory analysis, CAPEX, manufacturing footprint changes, engineering to pilot builds, PPAP, safe launch execution, manufacturing toll gate reviews, production ramp plans, obsolescence plans, vendor risk management, factory contingency plans. Ensure overall location manufacturing & make part/process readiness according to WPD launch. 60%

  • Representative on factory ad-staff to ensure site readiness of all NPI activities into day-to-day operations. 10%

  • Align site Factory Master Plan to Regional Product Plans & Manufacturing Strategy. Assist NPI Category Leader to develop Ideal State including analysis of product plans, factory operational details, future state impact, development of benefits and investments 10%

  • Execute standardization of manufacturing NPI accountabilities for engineering build planning through product launch execution. 10%

  • Manage site NPI department, rearrangement & prototype expense and capital budgets. 5%

  • Manage site NPI engineering & technician resource performance, professional development and succession planning/talent pipeline. 5%


Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required

Work Experience: 8 years of engineering experience required. Experience in manufacturing operations and program management required.

Technical/Product Knowledge:
Knowledge of manufacturing processes required.

Strong product knowledge of all platforms produced at location. Site resident expert in WPD program management.

Other requirements: Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external parties.

Have solid vision and strategy to meet factory and product requirements and goals. Manage personnel to deliver NPI goals & objectives. OPEX, lean, professional certifications a plus.
