HOVER is looking for a strong engineering manager to join our product engineering team. You will lead a passionate group of engineers who are shipping great products that our customers in the Construction sector rely upon to run and transform their businesses. You will contribute by:

You will mentor and guide the professional and technical development of the members of the team, which includes front-end, back-end, and full-stack engineers. You will partner with our product managers and designers to ensure our products solve important real-world problems with real value.  You will collaborate with engineers and technical leaders to ensure that the applications we build are stable, scalable, and maintainable. You will collaborate and define cross-team and strategic initiatives in partnership with leads across the company.

Your background includes:  

• 3+ years of engineering management experience, leading a diverse team that delivers on high-impact business projects

• Experience mentoring and coaching engineers, both technically and professionally

• 5+ years in software development, preferably in a full-stack capacity

• Demonstrated success in rapidly delivering high-quality software

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders

• Bonus for experience in our tech stack: React, Ruby/Rails, Postgres

• Bonus for experience in the Construction sector

• Bonus for shipping B2B SaaS solutions

Hover has Hubs in San Francisco and New York City, where we encourage employees to be in the office 1-2 times per week to build rapport and foster organic connection.  At this time, Hover is not considering fully remote roles.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $201,000-$236,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
