Your role at Sephora:

As a Senior Manager of Sephora's Front End Engineering teams, you will be the leader for the customer facing development teams for desktop and mobile web. Reporting to the Director of Front-End Engineering, you will provide technical and career mentorship to enable productive motivated teams. In addition, you will:

  • Lead distributed teams of Front End Engineers in delivering new features for Sephora.com

  • Work closely with the Director of Front End Engineering to set and carry out strategy

  • Attract and develop engineers to continue to build out high performing teams

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners in Product Management, Design, QA and Project Management to maximize the teams' success

  • Inspire accountability for important metrics for delivery and performance

  • Demonstrate our Sephora values of Passion for Client Service, Innovation, Expertise, Balance, Respect for All, Teamwork, and Initiative.

We're excited about you if you have:

  • 5-7 years of experience in web technology with a successful history of launching highly effective projects for large transactional companies.

  • 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams including people management experience with direct reports

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

  • Extensive experience with various client-side technologies like HTML/HTML5, CSS (Sass/Less), JavaScript in a microservices environment

  • Direct experience with relevant disciplines such as accessibility, internationalization, a/b testing, and seo

  • Experience with automated testing for customer facing web applications a plus

  • Previous e-commerce application experience desired

  • Nice to have: Scrum master experience in agile teams, managing teams through agile transformation
