Position Overview

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced manager to join the Autodesk Education Experiences team and help define the future of our offerings for Education customers.

By understanding Education user personas and combining market analysis, end-user feedback, and software development knowledge - this person will establish a distinctive product vision, multi-year solution roadmap, and an effective engineering / cross-functional team partnership to deliver world-class solutions. You'll bring to bear your domain experience, ongoing customer research and product-based analytics to make informed decisions, and collaboration with platform and supporting teams to deliver products that will win in the market.

To be successful in this role, you will need the ability to influence without direct authority and speak to both business and technical teams. You must be able to work independently, have a history of successful product implementations and be results-driven. This person will have a solid understanding of process analysis, requirements gathering, systems design and subscription experience.

This position sits within our Education GTM team and does not have direct responsibility for development/engineering backlog prioritization. Ability to influence, negotiate and champion the needs of the customer is of paramount importance.

Responsibilities

  • Help streamline and define new product experiences for our Education users

  • Champion the needs of schools/universities, educators, and students, inside and beyond the classroom

  • Continually assess market needs and opportunities, adjusting product priorities and/or securing support for additional investment as needed

  • Use data, customer and competitive insights, and industry best practices to identify opportunities to create innovative capabilities and compelling user experiences

  • Develop rolling multi-year roadmap, including creation and prioritization of key themes

  • Define prioritized requirements and use cases as part of an overall product roadmap, collaborating effectively with other product managers, designers and engineering to optimize delivery of the education offering(s)

  • Set measurable goals and KPIs, and partner with technical product managers to determine appropriate priority of business & product requirements

  • Understand and manage metrics to analyze the impact of activities and projects, and refine as needed to create an environment of continuous learning and improvement

  • Partner with marketing, documentation, support and other teams to ensure product benefits are communicated to customers

  • Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations that engage both internal and external audiences

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, BA or equivalent experience

  • 10 years work experience in product management, ideally across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, web)

  • Domain expertise involving educational software, SaaS, LMS platforms, and/or teaching

  • Consistent track record in working cross-functionally to deliver cloud-based software and/or services

  • Track record of driving initiatives from conception to completion, working closely with designers and engineers

  • Ability to form and maintain close partnerships and relationships with other product stakeholders, as well as excellent communication skills

  • Ability to present complex ideas clearly and to rally people around a vision

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with both local and remote teams

  • Ability to work in a team setting and/or independently as needed; self-starter

  • Ability to rapidly prioritize and continually learn/adapt to changing circumstances

  • Highly enthusiastic, creative, with an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to innovate

Ability to leverage available data and translate into actionable insights to support the narrative is a must. * Deriving strategic and meaningful insights via market research and competitive analysis to inform product and experience design to drive the growth of the offer. * Facilitating intra-team and cross-enterprise communication and information sharing about the Digital Advice business's vision, objectives, and progress on key initiatives, including creating executive-level presentations and talking points for high-profile forums throughout the year. * Collaborating closely with key cross-functional partners to advance the Digital Advice team's objectives, including Marketing, Communications, Finance, and Technology among others. * Digging deeper beyond the initial "ask" to understand the underlying business needs, critical path, and timelines surrounding key objectives.
