Job Overview: The purpose of this position is to contribute to membership sales and retention; to design, promote and evaluate programming as well as ensuring the programming criteria is carried out in a healthy, safe, and clean environment. Focus on maximizing sales and retention while motivating managers and employees in a positive manner. Oversees the assigned management team of DSF alongside the Director of DSF.

Job Requirements:

Reflects MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectations of this job:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience or combination of post-secondary education and progressive experience in exercise science, kinesiology, physical education, sports management, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience; 3+ years of direct people management experience.

  • Previous management experience in an athletic facility.

  • Proven ability to hire, direct and train both full time and part time staff.

  • Knowledge of basic, financial accounting.

  • Advanced knowledge of standard anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.

  • Minimum of one national athletic certification.

  • Basic computer proficiency to include word processing, electronic mail, and related business software.

  • CPR and First Aid Certifications or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

  • Valid Class D driver's license may be required with a good driving record.
