JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Digital & Social Marketing will play a key role in creating the strategy, establishing key performance indicators, and executing digital marketing and social media initiatives for Marriott's Classic Select Brands. The assignment will focus on SpringHill Suites and two of Marriott's Longer Stay brands Residence Inn and TownePlace Suites. The assignment will also support the digital and social pull through of the Longer Stays category campaign "Room for Possibility". The role will be a core member of the Global Marketing Optimization organization and Classic Select brand teams driving strategy and execution for digital and social media marketing tactics to primarily deliver brand consideration initiatives supporting these brands. In addition to other duties assigned, this role will manage the comprehensive digital eco-system consisting of dedicated brand sites, campaign sites, digital advertising, marriott.com presence and many social media experiences spanning brand and hotel level on key platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and more. This role will report to the Senior Director, Digital & Social Marketing (Classic Select Brands) and partner closely with key members of the Classic Select brand team, global marketing, mDigital, public relations, external agencies, key hotel stakeholders, and the field/continent organizations.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience preferred

  • 6 years of relevant professional experience in marketing or related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Digital and Social Media Marketing:

  • Responsible for crafting strategy and prioritizing, managing, supporting and executing digital marketing strategy initiatives (brand website, social media, paid media, search engine marketing, Marriott.com initiatives, field support) to support the Classic Select Brands.

  • Work autonomously to author and drive digital strategy for brand level initiatives while also providing strategic guidance for regional campaigns covering over 1500 hotels worldwide.

  • Responsible for providing regular communication to agencies on digital marketing initiatives related to website, social media and advertising.

  • Direct oversight of brand website and longer stays website strategy, optimizations, and day to day maintenance.

  • Oversee and drive strategy and workflow of digital marketing and advertising campaigns supporting the digital brand strategy.

  • Work with creative team to oversee strategic initiatives related to social media strategy, including influencer activations.

  • Oversee content creation and approval of editorial calendar.

  • Liaise with internal social media teams to collaborate on best practices and customer care integration.

  • Monitor and report out on digital marketing landscape trends and competitor activity.

  • Provide regular direction and communication to internal Paid Search and SEO teams to maximize the performance of campaigns.

  • Manage the creation and execution of brand positioning updates to Marriott.com hotel websites.

  • Create streamlined information for internal reports/audits/analysis of digital marketing performance (including but not limited to Marriott.com, Brand Website, Social media, Paid Media, Search) as well as create compelling marketing and reporting presentations

  • Oversee digital dashboard creation, KPI definition and alignment, and regularly report out performance and learnings to key stakeholders and executive team

  • Manage digital marketing budget by brand

  • Support and liaise with the field organization and other team members on digital marketing best practices to ensure digital strategy alignment.

JOB SUMMARY Marriott's Digital & Social Marketing organization is seeking a Manager, Brand Digital & Social Marketing who will play a key role in helping to manage and execute digital marketing and social media initiatives designed to drive performance for the assigned hotel brands. The role will be an important contributor to the brand teams and Marriott's Digital/Social discipline, executing digital and social media marketing tactics that deliver on brand marketing objectives (i.e. brand awareness) in support of selected hotel brands. In addition to other duties assigned, this role will manage the execution and strategy of the digital brand eco-system consisting of dedicated brand websites, Marriott.com, other Marriott digital touch points, social media, and social media experiences spanning brand and hotel level strategy on key social platforms supporting the hotel brand's overarching strategies (i.e engagement, awareness, etc). This role will also partner in execution of social advertising in partnership with the Global Media Center of Excellence operating model. This role will report to the Director, Brand Digital & Social Marketing and will be a core member of the Global Marketing Optimization organization. This person is an integral part of the assigned brand marketing team, and will work cross-funtionally with associates in creative and content studio, public relations, digital agencies, key hotel stakeholders, and the field/continental organizations. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES MANAGING EXECUTION OF DIGITAL AND SOCIAL INITIATIVES * Responsible for prioritizing, managing, supporting and executing digital initiatives (brand website, social media, Marriott.com initiatives, field support) to support assigned brands. * Responsible for providing direction and regular communication to agencies on digital marketing initiatives related to brand website, social media and other digital tactics. * Responsible for developing and managing social influencer execution and objectives. * Management of brand website optimizations and day to day maintenance. * Partner with Digital product teams for brand positioning updates to Marriott.com hotel websites * Work with agency and internal partners to deliver creative assets such as digital display, video, social media assets, paid search ads, emails, landing pages, on-site promotional placements, etc. * Oversee brand social media content creation process/editorial calendar, and influencer programs implemented by in house social teams or agencies. * Guide the writing, brand voice and content for brand level social media and digital channels. * Manage agencies and/or social media writers for each brand. * Oversee social media monitoring, advertising, promotions/contests and other activations implemented by agency or in house. * Manage influencer programs, brief influencers or agency and manage itineraries in partnership with hotels when applicable. * Oversee and maintain the social media playbook for hotels/field and oversee social media content capture process * Support brand events, hotel openings, and partner events as needed. Estimated at least five (5) domestic and/or international trips throughout the year. * Support live content capture and event coverage as needed in support of digital and social needs in partnership with the creative team.
