What is the opportunity?

Join RBC Bank in Raleigh, NC, a subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada that provides cross-border banking advice and solutions to Canadians in the U.S., as our Senior Manager, Digital Marketing & Sales. In this role, you will partner with our product, marketing, sales, data and digital teams to create and execute digital marketing campaigns, analyzing metrics and optimizing campaigns to maximize ROI.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and executing a scalable Salesforce Sales Cloud CRM and Marketing Cloud infrastructure and strategy aimed at communicating with and nurturing potential and current clients. They will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop efficient processes, data integration innovative strategies to successfully execute projects from conception to completion. The candidate should be a proactive thought-leader who can offer expertise and insight that improves the digital experience on any project in which they are involved. Additionally, an innate intellectual curiosity and hunger to grow and learn will provide the right candidate the opportunity to sharpen existing skills and learn new aspects of digital and consumer marketing.

What will you do?

Own the development, management, analysis, and optimization of marketing campaigns and customer communications through our digital channels:

  • Own our Salesforce Sales Cloud CRM and Marketing Cloud channel; from strategizing and execution, to reporting, analysis and offering informed recommendations on a better path forward

  • Managing multiple aspects of a client's digital campaign including: strategy development, project management and report delivery

  • Identify opportunities for operational and workflow improvements to our Salesforce CRM program, systems and tools to work leaner, smarter and accelerate project's time-to-market

  • Developing landing pages and testing methodologies to enhance and optimize campaigns

  • Designing and developing wireframes, mock-ups / prototypes, designs and managing website development for integrated marketing campaigns

  • Elevate and lead digital nurturing initiatives and involvement in special projects that require participation in digital marketing channels

  • Proactively analyzing, identifying and recommending future campaigns and initiative improvements through active awareness by staying abreast of emerging customer needs and diving deep on campaign data

  • Understanding emerging digital marketing tactics, channel metrics, industry best practices and A/B multivariate test results

  • Planning, optimizing and executing targeted direct email communication programs to clients, prospects, COIs and referral sources

  • Serving as subject matter expert for our email platform and developing new creative and automation programs for client emails to increase customer acquisition, retention and engagement

  • Preparing and analyzing campaign performance with key metrics used, identify solutions to improve, and communicate results to stakeholders

What do you need to succeed?

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud that allows the candidate to execute, strategize, analyze, innovate and more.

  • Comfort with data-driven decision-marking, analytical rigor, and a bias towards experimenting quickly and scaling the programs that produce results.

  • Possess entrepreneurial drive and previous experience in a digital agency or corporate role

  • Experience in managing email and marketing automation programs that integrate with other digital systems such as web, social, mobile apps and CRM systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong project management, problem solving, organizational skills

  • Strong collaboration, listening and analysis skills to support strategy development and project execution

  • Deep understanding and experience of digital marketing strategies and tactics

  • Keen attention to details and organized. Able to flex to meet business needs and demands as they change

Requirements for Success:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or related degree

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, creative strategy, content development

  • Financial services experience preferred

  • Digital content subject matter expert

  • Strategic minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, multitask & prioritize assignments

  • A strong team player, self-starter, and highly creative
