The Chief Technology Officer Organization's vision is to raise the bar for technical excellence, talent, strategy, and standards across Technology. It also seeks to cultivate and foster technical innovation, as well as elevate and amplify the technical heartbeat of the organization.

As a senior Product Manager, you will help us create technical products and services that accelerate software delivery across the Amex ecosystem while driving consistency and developer satisfaction. You will identify and prioritize product opportunities and guide execution in partnership with the wider Developer Experience organization. Your customers will be Amex software developers working globally across all lines of business. Your work on delivering roadmap for products that developers use and will be a critical part of delivering an intuitive, comprehensive developer platform that unlocks software developers' innovation and serves as a foundation to enhance and elevate their delivery. How will you make an impact in this role?

Deeply understand the company's highest-level business strategies and the global regulatory landscape as it relates to our mission. You will balance competing partner needs and timelines and make choices about what to focus on.

Shape our product strategy and roadmap by identifying and prioritizing capabilities and features to achieve our objectives. You will engage in detailed customer discovery with a focus on user needs and define outcomes that are meaningful to them. You will build focus for our team through OKRs and monitor product health with quantitative KPIs

Drive our product initiatives forward through idea generation, data-driven experiments, and decisive action. You will instill a sense of collective ownership that motivates us to deliver more value to our customers over time. With your engineering and program management partners, you will sense and solve when the team is running into problems

Work hands-on to plan and implement product delivery as well as leading a small product management team

Manage project work through completion of delivery on assigned projects and ad hoc efforts. Support multiple projects simultaneously. Coordinate with internal teams and customers to launch solutions, ensuring execution of training and communication plans. Measure and document results of implemented solutions.

Work closely with stakeholders (such as the Developer community, customers, business development and the open-source community) to understand needs and priorities

Facilitate / Engage in technical discussion for product solutions.

Be the "voice of the customer" during specification and development stages

Understand the overall market, competitors, and open-source technologies

How will you help improve the overall business value?

  • Market research and bringing outstanding products to our developer community

  • Develop roadmap of futuristic vision for Applications on Prem and on the Cloud

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years proven experience in a technical role: technical product management, project management, solutions engineering or similar roles:

  • Proficient in the use of productivity tools necessary to capture requirements documents like JIRA or Rally, Confluence, SharePoint

  • Good understanding and working knowledge CICD & Collaboration tools concepts that are leveraged at enterprise scale

  • Good understanding and working knowledge of how CICD products integrates with Agile Management products and the intersect to help build an overall SDLC journey and exhibit business value with its implementation

  • Good understanding and working knowledge of the CICD & Test / Scan concepts that are leveraged at enterprise scale

  • Deep understanding and implementation experience of Business Insights for measuring Developer productivity based on the tool analytics

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and presentation abilities

  • Gathering Success Stories from our customer community and be able to leverage that to help increase marketability of our products

  • Experience in Handling production Implementation and Incidents, with care for customers with change management

  • Feedback loop of customer sentiments into the product backlog

  • Prioritization of product backlog based on data and not sentiments or biggest voice in the room.

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
