The Corporate Alliance Strategy team is seeking a highly qualified individual to help lead strategy, financial analysis, and recommendation development for the Corporate Alliance organization. Disney's Marketing Partnerships, Alliances, and Card Services team develops and holistically manages complex, long-term, multi-dimensional relationships with select brands and companies. This team is dedicated to creating incremental value to The Walt Disney Company and its partners through creative development of marketing and sponsorship programs, management of partner relationships across all business units at The Walt Disney Company and the creation of new partnerships aligned with The Walt Disney Company's businesses and strategic goals. The Marketing Partnerships, Alliances, and Card Services organization leverages company and partner assets to create value globally for The Walt Disney Company.
Identify, structure, lead and complete strategic and operationally-focused projects, interfacing across the team and cross-functionally to ensure stakeholder buy-in and alignment throughout the process
Create executive-ready presentations that extract and elegantly summarize findings and recommendations
Serve as thought partner to Strategy Director and Marketing Partnerships, Alliances, and Card Services Directors/VPs
Explore new approaches and frameworks to address team and Partner needs, always challenging the status quo and elevating the greater Marketing Partnerships, Alliances, and Card Services team in the process
Structure, lead and distill market research projects to enable ROI measurement, with the support of Disney and/or third party research teams
Synthesize financial and consumer insight data to help inform Marketing Partnerships, Alliances, and Card Services strategic direction and priorities
Structure, lead and distill financial analyses, collaborating closely with Disney Finance teams
Analyze financial data along with internal and external consumer insights to understand drivers of financial performance and to inform broader team strategy
Proactively surface & mine key data sources to help support strategic and operational objectives
Develop presentations for and present to senior leadership, independently and with senior Strategy team members
Actively contribute to discussions with senior leadership (VP, SVP, EVP, CFO) and all levels of Marketing Partnerships, Alliances, and Card Services team
Work closely with other Walt Disney Company segments (e.g., studio, direct-to-consumer, parks, experiences, & products, media networks) and stakeholders within those segments (e.g., Finance, Research, Industrial Engineering, Imagineering)
Technical skills and requirements:
Advanced analytical skills (forecasting, opportunity/market sizing, trend analysis, etc.)
Significant experience in developing financial models, forecasts and operating plans
Ability to independently craft executive-ready presentations with clear storylines
Significant experience independently managing complex, cross-functional projects
Additional skills and requirements:
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Professionalism to work directly with Disney senior leadership and present findings in formal settings
Self-starter with ability to deal with ambiguity (and see it as an opportunity to make an impact!)
Comfort with uncertainty and ability to drive to an answer (e.g., if leadership poses a general question, Senior Manager is able to determine areas for analysis and data required to conduct this analysis, is able to realize areas for further review vs. 'dead ends', and is able to adapt their answer and analysis as they work toward finding the answer)
Advanced interpersonal skills to build relationships within and external to Marketing Partnerships, Alliances, and Card Services department, gather data, and gain consensus
Ability to embody confidence without attitude in order to respectfully lead teams of varying levels in data discovery and analysis and strategy development
Advanced time management skills to oversee a number of simultaneous projects across areas of the company. Able to conduct own work, work with existing Manager, and assist Director as needed.
Survey writing / analysis experience a plus
Familiarity with and passion for Disney business lines
5-7 Years work experience with demonstrated progression in leadership
2 Years minimum in investment banking, corporate finance, management consulting and/or corporate strategy
2 Years minimum in a corporate setting working in strategy, finance, corporate development, or strategic finance
4-year degree in business / quantitative field (business, engineering, sciences etc.) strongly preferred
MBA / graduate degree strongly preferred
