The Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting & Consolidations oversees the monthly close and consolidation process for DSW Inc. This individual will be required to challenge and develop staff through stretch goals and objectives, projects, initiatives, and interaction with key stakeholders. Oversees and manages day-to-day operations and month-end, quarter-end, year-end close responsibilities. Supports other responsibilities assigned as needed for financial close and reporting. Develop new methods or procedures to improve close procedures and daily operations. This position reports to the Director, Accounting Operations and will have direct reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely monthly consolidation of DSW Inc. and its related entities. Including, the alignment of the chart of accounts across multiple entities, revaluation and translation of functional currency to USD, and the appropriate elimination of intercompany activity.

  • Enhance the existing corporate consolidation process, including evaluating systems, developing methods for intercompany eliminations, and implementing SOX controls.

  • Demonstrate high level of systems knowledge with an ability to understand information from multiple systems and will possess the analytical skills to match data between systems

  • Must have an in-depth understanding of accounting principles related to the elimination of intercompany transactions and foreign currency matters

  • Understands, reviews, and approves balance sheet reconciliations

  • Supports other responsibilities assigned as needed for financial close and reporting

  • Ability to execute change management within the function, across the business, and with external partners focusing on system enhancements, process efficiencies and the appropriate alignment of roles and responsibilities across the enterprise.

  • Required to present management recommendations based on analytical data to key stakeholders throughout the business

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Present excellent leadership, communication, organization, and analytical skills

  • Ability to research and summarize technical accounting topics

  • Ability to drive, both internal and external business partners, to solutions on operational and project based issues

  • Ability to interact and drive change across multiple areas, as well as, multi-task several projects and initiatives in a changing environment

  • Ability to identify inefficiencies, recommend, and implement solutions to improve operations

  • Able to analyze business trends and KPIs to improve operational efficiencies

  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as work independently

  • Ability to work under moderate supervision to determine and develop approaches and solutions to complex problems

  • Detail-oriented

  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in accounting with relevant experience in multi-entity consolidations and foreign currency.
  • 2+ years of experience in a managerial capacity

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting; MBA a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA preferred

  • Retail and public accounting experience a plus

Job Description Details: The Procurement Manager will manage MediGold's vendor procurement and management. Lead negotiations with vendors and suppliers. Manages overall relationships assuring procurement integrity, performance and efficiency, and delegation oversight. Ensures compliance with all internal and external policies and regulatory entities. Works with business owners related to strategic sourcing and contracting efforts. Responsibilities * Act as the MediGold point of contact for internal business owners, and others as required, related to planning of all current and future procurement and contracting activities * Negotiating contract terms, pricing and securing appropriate protections to minimize risk. * Plans, develops and implements procurement policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring effective and timely execution of contracts. * Ensures tracking of procurement/contracting activities, vendor accountability and customer service levels. * Oversee formal vendor performance and delegation oversight. * Manage vendor relations in coordination with key business owners and assisting in research and root cause analysis resolving vendor concerns. * Maintains excellent working relationships with MediGold's vendor network, internal department management, other business partners, and Mount Carmel Health System related entities. * Exhibits a professional appearance and demeanor. * Travel as required - Use of personal vehicle for Provider visits required. * Potential for early and late meetings to accommodate provider's schedule. * All other duties as assigned. Requirements * Education: Bachelor's degree. * 5+ years of experience in contracting procurement. * Demonstrated specialized depth and expertise related to procurement services including knowledge of laws, rules, regulations and standardized principles, and practices. * Excellent negotiation skills, interpersonal sophistication, and customer service focus, along with strong communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal/relationship building skills. * Strong understanding and proven experience in executing complex legal agreements including Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Letter of Agreements and Amendments. * Excellent analytical skills including financial analysis. * Ability to effectively navigate in a regulated industry.
