This role is based in Brooklyn, NY.
You will lead our effort to create and maintain the tooling that exists to ensure that we remain compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) while minimizing friction for the engineering org.
You will grow a team of 3 engineers up to 7 engineers, and will report to our Chief Information Security Officer.
You will build key relationships with our Compliance Analysts, our Internal Audit partners, and our public auditor, as well as stakeholders throughout engineering.
You will drive the vision for the team, expanding the team's mandate beyond only SOX-related tooling to other areas of the business where we want to minimize friction for engineers while following process.
You come from a software engineering background, and have a deep knowledge of how well-functioning software engineering teams operate.
You lead with empathy through empowering engineers on your team and asking questions, not dictating solutions.
You are an excellent communicator who interfaces well with technical and non-technical partners across the organization.
You focus on the intricate details without losing the bigger picture, and you are able to become intimately acquainted with our risk controls matrix.
You have years of experience leading and growing engineering teams, while up-leveling practices on those teams.
You are a leader dedicated to cultivating the skills of your team, and you possess a successful track record of acquiring the best available engineering talent.
