Position Summary...
What you'll do...
As Senior Manager of Community Impact and Innovation, you will help bring clinical research as a care option for the patients and communities we serve and play a major role in the growth, transformation, and operational success of the Chief Medical Office (CMO). Reporting to the Director of Transformation Portfolio Strategy & Activation for the Walmart Healthcare Research Institute (WHRI), you will serve as the leader responsible for shaping WHRI's community engagement strategy and leading the design and implementation of community engagement initiatives and innovations (approaches, programs, products, services, and capabilities). The right candidate will have a strong drive to make an impact in health equity, experience in building and activating strategies around health literacy and community impact, and ability to establish the operational infrastructure needed to implement community-focused initiatives.
Designs and delivers WRHI's community engagement offerings following methodologies including but not limited to persona development, journey mapping, user/patient centered design thinking, needs assessments and measures to inform opportunities, etc.
Defines WHRI's health literacy (HL) strategy and playbook/ guidelines and govern the integration of best practices.
Develops WHRI's community events strategy and HL educational materials (as related to innovation programs, services, capabilities).
Define WHRI's diversity and representation goals and creates a data-driven approach towards measurement and achievement.
Explores and analyzes data to find insights and drive decisions and recommendations of where, who, and how we bring clinical research as a care option for our communities.
Leads WHRI's partnerships and alliances strategy and execution (local and national relationships and engagement capabilities).
Builds and maintains strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders; identifies, cultivates, and manages strategic partnerships with community organizations, foundations, funds, institutions, provider groups, and industry players.
Defines WHRI's Provider relationships strategy and outreach approach and execution (build relationships and capabilities like bi-lateral referral pathways).
Develops the business cases, capability roadmaps, operational readiness plan, and resource management plan to successfully deliver within the Community Engagement transformation portfolio.
Actively drives the go-live preparations, planning, implementation, and sustainability of new and innovative Community Engagement offerings including but not limited to creating playbooks, change management plans, project plans, training materials, and stakeholder communications Develops, tracks, and manages KPIs and success metrics for the Community Engagement portfolio; roll up to broader department and organizational health equity goals Leads or materially participates in external and internal meetings and creates related materials.
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

BENTONVILLE, Arkansas US-09104:The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
