Job Description

The Senior Manager of Clinical Pharmacology (CP) will be involved in the CP strategy, planning, direction, execution and data interpretation of clinical pharmacology studies. This critical role in the early phases of drug development requires interaction with a wide range of functions within R&D and collaboration with non-clinical, and clinical development as well as matrix integration with Translational Medicine and Pharmacometrics. The incumbent will lead with supervision all the CP activities for one or more programs in the TEVA early development portfolio. The Senior Manager of CP will represent the CP department at internal (study, project, clinical team) and external meetings (regulatory authorities, collaborators, vendors). In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for the CP sections in documentation submitted to the regulatory authorities and participate in any required communication or interaction such as replies regarding CP questions during submissions. This candidate will apply model based drug development concepts to impact decision making and is expected to have experience and relevant training in pharmacokinetic/pharmacometrics.


  • Education: PhD in pharmaceutical sciences/pharmacology or other relevant life sciences. PharmD, with significant clinical pharmacology background may also be possible.

  • Strong leadership and problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to work in a complex multi-disciplinary and global environment.

  • English proficiency with strong presentation and communication skills.

  • Experience in clinical pharmacology.

  • Experience in clinical research (designing/managing clinical studies and Good Clinical Practices).

  • Experience in PK and or population PK/PD analysis.

  • Experience in therapeutic areas of interest (respiratory) preferred.

  • Experience with Biologics preferred.

  • Experience with devices a plus.

This position is a newly added to our team as a result of increasing our census due to the demand for our services. Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) – the only free standing children’s psychiatric hospital in Chester County, Pa. – employs a team of acute care professionals dedicated to meeting the needs of children and adolescents, ages five to 18, and their families, in acute mental health crisis. Many of the individuals we serve are from Southeast Pennsylvania, but DCBHC has served children and adolescents from other regions of Pennsylvania, as well as neighboring states. Our treatment team, which may include psychiatrists, clinical case managers, nurses, teachers, licensed psychologists and clinical social workers, along with the family and child, work together to create a safety, stabilization and treatment plan that focuses on a successful discharge of the child back to his or her community, or lesser level of care. The majority of children stay at DCBHC between three days and 21 days. The stay could be longer based on the presenting symptoms.
