The ideal candidate will have agency and consumer brand experience.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Maintain daily client contact and prospect information

  • Manage timelines and client deliverables

  • Help develop long term plans and program recommendations for clients

  • Attend account reviews and staff meetings - provide ongoing communications and feedback

  • Manage timelines and client deliverables

  • Generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success

  • Execute on strategies, proposals and oversee ongoing local events

  • Account for quality control and final review of client correspondence, proposals, press materials, messaging, and Q&A

  • Develop and execute on media strategies and pitch media (both trade and top tier)

  • Instruct staff in the areas of writing and editing as necessary

  • Contribute to the development of strategic client plans

  • Contribute to work plan of junior team members

  • Ensure quality work from team in order to meet/exceed client expectations

  • Training and development of staff

  • Serve as a role-model to other team members

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

What We Are Looking For:

  • Can convey ownership of assigned projects to junior team members

  • Can resolve conflicts

  • Can mobilize and motivate teams

  • Aptitude to work independently

  • Excellent oral and written business communication skills

  • Aptitude for financial analysis

  • Can complete challenging projects within set parameters

  • Exceptional judgment when working with team members, client contacts and vendors

  • Established skills in planning and crisis communication

  • Commitment and dedication to the agency's success as well as individual career

  • Can anticipate client and team needs

  • Attention to detail and quality

  • Can solve problems

  • Can impress new business prospects

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Internet, on-line services, Media Map and Dow Jones News Retrieval

Basic Qualifications

  • 6-9 years of corporate communication/public relations experience in an agency setting

  • Experience working with and pitching media

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required
