Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Senior Manager (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in Employee Health Services at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA. The Caregiver Health Services (CHS) Senior Manager oversees Swedish Caregiver Health Services and ensures the readiness of our caregivers. The CHS Senior Manager is responsible for the oversight and development of department programs in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. These include but are not limited to new employee health screenings, vaccinations, tuberculosis surveillance, respiratory protection program, and management of infectious disease and blood or body fluid exposures.
Oversees Caregiver Health Services, which ensures that the workforce has the immunization, fit testing, TB testing and other occupational health requirements necessary to successfully perform their roles
Develops and supports the Caregiver Health Services program
Coordinate the Caregiver Health team efforts with those of the Safety, Worker's Compensation and Return to Work Programs allowing employees to quickly and safely regain their health and return to work
Directs or consults in the design of caregiver health practices to ensure a prepared and equipped workforce in coordination with CDC, OSHA, DNV and local health authority guidelines and regulations
The CHS Senior Manager will direct and coordinate the resources and efforts of the organization to obtain the highest level of compliance with the influenza immunization program along with all other health care recommended immunizations
Provides education for employees, medical staff, vendors and volunteers to prevent the spread of communicable diseases and prevent on the job injuries. This includes the development of policies and procedures to assure vendors have appropriate health clearances to work in the patient environment
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
Current Washington state RN license
Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated successful experience in employee health or occupational health
Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in management
