The Business Process Management Technology (BPM) team develops & supports various technology platforms in support of overall workflow solutions at Schwab. These platforms are mission critical, and integral to providing world-class service to our external and internal clients. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly visible team working on an exciting and highly visible team at Schwab.
What you'll do:
You will be joining us as a Senior Manager within the BPM Technology team, responsible for the software delivery of multiple teams supporting our various lines of business. In this role you will wear many hats, with a focus of delivering exciting technology solutions for our clients and growing our internal staff in technology. You will be managing a team of approximately 10 resources (mix of employees / domestic and offshore contractors) responsible for the delivery of designated projects and the delivery of quality software.
We'll need you to achieve the following:
Drive the workflow platform to achieve stated business objectives with a focus on BPM design and engineering
Build on the automation capabilities for the team and deliver associated roadmap
Build meaningful relationships with partners in many different parts of the firm to achieve targeted deliverables
Manage a staff of engineering resources to ensure they are following Agile best practices
Focus on building the skills of your team and raising their certification levels
Raise the effectiveness of our Agile / Scrum methodology delivery
Leverage excellent communication skills to influence your own staff through senior executives
Build the Pega workflow team within 30 days and deliver associated roadmap
Obtain your Pega CSA certification within the first six months
Manage a staff of engineering resources to ensure they are following Pega and Agile best practices
Experience implementing Lean Six Sigma principles is desired
What you have:
We have an exciting role for a self-motivated leader who is up for delivering transformational change. We are looking for someone with the following background:
At least ten years of software industry experience delivering projects and working with software engineering practices.
At least two years of software development experience. Experience with workflow automation tooling is preferred.
At least three years in leadership roles (scrum master, development lead, existing people leader experience) with increasing responsibility.
At least five years experience with Agile scrum methodology
Experience managing a matrixed organization to achieve delivery outcomes (product owners, QA, platform support, other teams).
A curiosity and drive to enhance our development practices.
Financial services industry experience is preferred.
