Responsibilities

Reporting to the VP of the IT PMO/VMO & Operations, the Business Operations leader is a critical position on the IT operations leadership team, as it's a facilitative role that requires a combination of focus and flexibility, ability to think strategically, as well as assist in ensuring the delivery of key priorities associated with IT's transformation. The role requires a highly resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, integrity, absolute confidentiality where appropriate, and strong analytical and strategic skills.

As the Business Operations leader, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to think strategically and develop key processes, procedures and communications that facilitate planning and execution for the global IT business organization. This position requires extensive cross-group coordination at all levels, excellent communication skills, ability to develop compelling presentations and comprehensive business review materials to help IT "run as a business". The role will participate in overall strategy discussions and facilitate business execution, as necessary.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Implement robust practices and operational cadence to lead the function's budget, headcount, and analytics oversight efforts.

  • Develops administrative, financial, and operational capabilities for IT

  • Provides oversight and guidance to high impact projects, as required by the VP of IT PMPO/VMO

  • Plans key business activities and provides strategic direction and preparation for the leadership of the IT function across internal leadership meetings, operational and QBR reviews, and vendor meetings.

  • Acts as a point of contact between top management and employees or other stakeholders

  • Demonstrates intimate knowledge of IT and strategic objectives and develops expertise in a variety of the areas relationship management, project management, M&A integration, solution identification and selection, etc.

  • Leads and directs the work of others often through influence instead of direct reporting line relationships

  • Identifies efficiency gaps and develops operational process recommendations for the leader, leadership team and organization

  • Enables alignment, collaboration and coordination of initiatives across the organization

  • Play an active role in designing and developing key forms of communications (within IT and across the enterprise)

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership in driving an aggressive change agenda through business process improvement and building a high performance team/capability to support a best-in-class vision within a complex, matrixed company

  • Track record of success establishing a best-in-class controls environment, managing a shared services capability, and servicing internal and external customers

  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum 8 years of IT experience, or relevant business or team leadership

  • Experience working in a shared services environment, or in implementing a shared service delivery center for an organization

  • Proven track record of continuous improvement and root cause analysis resulting in improved services

  • Ability to rapidly develop strong rapport and build relationships with individuals and teams at multiple levels of the organization.

  • Superior written and verbal communications skills; able to create executive level presentations

  • Excellent influence, negotiation and presentation skills

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to establish strong relationships with all levels of management
