Title & Location: Senior Manager Business Development (Dulles, VA)
Manages and conducts the evaluation and implementation of new initiatives and business opportunities for the Company under the direction of Line of Business (LOB) leader or senior business development leader. Focus area will primarily be Enterprise IT with responsibilities to include but not be limited to the following markets/customers:
International (i.e., NATO, United Nations, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), foreign countries, etc.)
Other areas as required
Primary & Essential Accountabilities
Manage and conduct the evaluation and implementation of new initiatives and business opportunities for the Company under the direction of Line of Business (LOB) Lead or senior business development leader
Provide strategic and tactical direction to the business development function by evaluating new initiatives and business opportunities
Conduct and may oversee the market analysis, competitive activity/analysis and opportunity development in conjunction with/support of capture efforts.
Identify and explore customer needs
Provide assistance in the planning, designing and implementing of business plans
Assist with the follow through and deployment of the Company's vision, strategies, and tactics
Coordinate and facilitate activities and commitments with other departments and/or functions
Develop and track opportunity cycles
Participate/coordinate in strategic alliances and other external business relationships
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Make presentations on Company portfolio of products and services
Attend business meetings, trade shows as requested
Analyze and have a general understanding of the Government budgeting process
Bachelor's degree in marketing or engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ten or more years of relevant experience
Planning and organization, project management, and time management skills
Ability to work on complex problems
Knowledge of Company products, markets and technology
Strong analytical and financial skills
Proven track record of successful business development with multiple agencies as identified previously
Extremely high level of communication skills to present, inform, and persuade high level internal and external customer's business development and capture plans, strategies and actions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner
Effective communication skills, strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work under pressure, organize priorities, deal with interruptions, possess above-average communication skills, and maintain flexibility and confidentiality
Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and Salesforce
Experience developing capture plans
Active Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at a minimum of secret level or higher
Experience with and an understanding of the cyber industry
