The person in this role will proactively partner with the Hospital Business Unit, US leadership and teams and other commercial teams to ensure the delivery of high quality strategic business decision support. As a member of the Business Analytics & Insights Global organization, the colleague will seamlessly interface with other Analytics teams and Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in Business Analytics to ensure all resources are fully and appropriately leveraged to deliver robust solutions to business issues.
The person in this role will develop and deliver the analytics and insights plan for the US HBU franchise as well as work with local BAI teams to support the adaptation of global strategies and tactics for the local market. This will include performance measurement, customer analytics, customer journey development, customer data mining and market research, as needed to uncover insights.
This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business. Role definition and Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Partner with stakeholders in US HBU Commercial team(s) to recommend, define and implement unique and innovative business analytics plans that generate insights and influence business priorities and objectives.
Conduct Primary Market Research, secondary analytics and advanced analytics to answer business questions.
Forecasting/Operating Plan Support
In partnership with key Pfizer stakeholders, support the development of global Long Range Forecasts (LRFs) and Operating Plans. Regularly review and enhance plans.
Ensure effective performance measurement and deliver regular assessments of portfolio performance to leadership. Ensure accuracy of the reports and clear articulation of the data and its meaning for the business.
Vendor/Offshore Resource Management
Develop, commission and contract complex and impactful projects through preferred vendors.
Accountable for meeting compliance and Corporate SOP obligations of all Primary Market Research projects.
Manage budgets associated with assigned activities.
Direct workload of flexible resources.
Be accountable for continuous improvement and identification/utilization of new capabilities to maximize the competitive advantages of the business.
Collaboration with other Analytical team
Partner with local analytical teams to adapt global strategies to the local markets.
Actively seek to share knowledge and expertise with other colleagues making use of knowledge sharing platform.
Proactively seek alignment with other BAI teams (CoEs/other Global or Country teams) to ensure cohesive activities with our stakeholders.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Experienced in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. Extensive experience in management of secondary data. Knowledgeable about study design and able to assess vendor technical capabilities.
Proven ability to connect, integrate and synthesize analysis and data into a meaningful 'so what' to drive concrete strategic recommendations and enable commercial decision making. Capable of describing relevant caveats in data or in a model and how they relate to business question.
Expertise in the field of customer/omni-channel analytics is highly desirable.
Previous demonstrated experience of forecasting revenues.
Previous demonstrated experience in monitoring, simulating and analyzing complex data sets.
Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands and deal with ambiguity.
Strong team player, experienced with leading without authority in complex matrix environments, gained through exposure to multi-cultural teams.
Proven ability to act as a strategic consultant partnering with commercial/marketing clients.Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly and effectively communicate the business relevance of technical subject matter.
Previous demonstrated Business / Financial acumen.
