The Senior Manager, Automation Engineering will own the Finance, Strategy, and People pillars within the Continuous Performance group within the Grocery Automation team. In this role, you will drive improvements in cost per case shipped, associate experience and safety, and staffing from an engineering perspective.

This position will report to the Director, Automation Engineering on the team that supports our perishable grocery network to design for future business growth. This team is responsible for delivering automation solutions that unlock capacity, accuracy, and speed to deliver customer and associate value; modernize and build and agile and predictable end-to-end network; and partner with Stores, Supply Chain, and Delivery teams to develop and End2End (E2E operating model of the future.

This is an onsite, individual contributor role based in Bentonville, Arkansas and can anticipate travel ~20% of the time. A full relocation package is available, but we are not considering remote candidates at this time.

What you'll do….

  • Act as a steward of the design group's expected financial, safety, and staffing outcomes through the launch of the facilities

  • Provide responsibility for annual financial planning for live sites and sites launching within the year

  • Support financial and business metric tracking (including leadership reports such as MBR)

  • Provide safety tracking and improvements

  • Drive live site KPI's to business case in the areas of cost, productivity and safety

  • Provide strategic solutions for future initiatives to increase volume/decrease cost in existing sites

  • You are an engineer with strong business acumen - experience with annual operational planning and P&L statements/management

  • You have strong interpersonal abilities to help drive strategy

  • You have a keen eye for the details and never leave good enough alone

  • You possess superb written & oral communication skills and have the ability to connect with associates across all positions and levels within the organization

  • You're driven by continuous improvement and operational efficiencies

  • You are organized, disciplined and can manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and 4 years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area. Option 2: 6

years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.

2 years' supervisory experience.
