Job Description:

Microchip is looking for a Senior Manager - Applications to join our team in Lawrence, MA! Senior High Reliability DPG Application Engineers work with our field teams and senior managers at our Fab locations and corporate managers at HQ in AZ. They develop, or manage, demonstrations, they generate product support materials (application notes, presentations, etc.), visit global field offices/customer sites, add direction and oversight with the global product development teams, to help ensure that end customer requirements are considered when defining and developing new products. Their offices are located onsite at a corporate facility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the field sales and applications teams to drive design wins with our customers.

  • Collaborate with other business units, marketing, applications, and field teams to create Total System Solutions for our customers.

  • Create / manage demonstrations, evaluation boards, application notes and training materials.

  • Travel to domestic and global offices to provide in-depth technical training and account visit.

  • Provide input and direction to new product development teams to grow company portfolio using field data, market research and customer feedback.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Combined 15 years of experience as EE Engineer or Field Applications Engineer or Product Development Engineer.

  • Significant experience with High Reliability power designs.

  • Experience with hardware CAD tools for PCB design.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with global teams.

  • Excellent knowledge of the laboratory equipment and analysis of the test results.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with corporate management at Director level and higher.

  • Experience in developing High Reliability power systems, reference designs.
