The Role

Entegris is seeking a Senior Manager Analytical Operations to lead the Advanced Material Handling division's analytical and product test laboratories located in Bloomington and Chaska, Minnesota, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Kulim, Malaysia. This key leadership position is responsible for standardizing and strengthening overall lab process efficiencies and driving drive quality in new and existing products.

The position is located in our Chaska manufacturing facility.

In this role you will

  • Oversees the development and implementation of policies, programs, reporting and analysis, and research and test methods.

  • Implements Key Process Indicators to monitor and strengthen improvements in test methods, throughput, capacity and quality.

  • Drives safety, quality and ISO compliance. Ensures testing activities are performed safely, accurately and timely. Develops and standardizes work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Interfaces with various departments to understand business needs.

  • Evaluates, oversees, and distributes proposals for testing programs and operating procedures; reviews testing and data collection systems.

  • Oversees the preparation and distribution of detailed technical reports.

  • Participates in development of patent applications

  • Creates and manages annual operating budget and expenses, capital plans, cost savings initiatives, equipment efficiency and maintenance programs.

  • Develops tracking procedures, establishment and maintenance of service contracts and warranties with vendors. Provides technical input to purchasing and recommends the purchase of test equipment.

  • Interfaces with employee health and safety and acts as a liaison between departments and the scientific staff to complete lab modifications and ensure safety compliance.

  • Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

  • Manages diverse relationships internally and externally. Collaborates with the Technology Council and CTO organization.

  • Develops staff to create analytical methods in support of new product introduction and to drive standardization of analytical services across the company.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate

  • Master's Degree (PhD desired) in analytical chemistry, chemistry or related science

  • 10+ years of experience in chemical and/or semiconductor industry or combination of education and experience;

  • Analytical chemistry knowledge (ICP-MS/AES, HPLC, GC, GC-MS, IC, FTIR, etc.);

  • Expertise with Six Sigma methodologies and tools;

  • Experience in lean manufacturing practices for laboratory operations preferred;

  • Demonstrates appropriate technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and independent thought.

  • Maintains broad knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories.

  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
