  • Serves as a key client contact by identification of, planning, coordinating, and executing cross-functional risk management projects

Proven ability to drive and support a book of business that provides excellent, relevant services to the market

  • Advise and assist clients on requirements of their BSA/AML Compliance ProgramProvides subject matter expertise in the area of AML, BSA, and Economic Sanctions related issues including identifying, assessing and managing the risks associated with money laundering and terrorist financing

Assesses BSA/AML risk at the enterprise and/or business unit level and helps implement detection and comprehensive compliance programs

Conducts BSA/AML Risk Assessments for the purposes of assessing risks within various lines of businesses and ensuring proper controls are in place to mitigate identified risks

Understands complex AML investigations and analysis in diversified operations

Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop professionals

  • Responsible for all phases of the engagement, including execution of the project deliverables, communications with the project team, staffing requirements, job planning, and scheduling

  • Manages relationship with client-side project members to facilitate project fulfillment

  • Exercises independent thinking skills by making decisions related to engagements to include dynamic problem solving, risk assessment, quality control, and data and information evaluation

  • Identification of significant emerging issues that impact our client base

  • Responsible for leading multiple project teams

  • Responsible for the performance and promotion of staff

  • Serves as a key member in practice leadership

  • Highly Proficient verbal and written English communication skills; ability to communicate effectively

  • Professional demeanor toward duties and responsibilities, particularly with regard to independence, professional ethics, and the exercise of professional judgment

  • Must be reliable and able to meet deadlines

  • Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills



  • BA or BS in Business, Accounting or related field required, Master's Degree preferred

  • 10+ years of public accounting or related consulting/Project leadership experience required

  • 10+ years of professional level project management experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of BSA, AML, Economic Sanctions, and Due Diligence regulatory and compliance requirements required

Proven track record of business development targets achieved is preferred

  • Relevant certifications (CAMS, CRCM and CFE) required

  • Willingness to travel required

  • Thorough working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook preferred

  • Knowledge of Database Software Systems preferred (i.e. SQL, Microsoft Access, CRM)

Participates in projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Identifies gaps and inform solutions that mitigate risk resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems or human errors. Identifies, responds and/or escalates risks as appropriate. Serves as a functional liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense. Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Provide subject matter and industry expertise to strengthen the risk management framework and control infrastructure. * Assess and strengthen the business line financial crimes control environment to identify control weaknesses, remediation requirements and recommend efficiencies to help manage Financial Crimes risk. * Build effective working relationships by providing regulatory and industry news, emerging trends, new policy direction and other communications to key stakeholders. * Support policy implementation activities and evaluate financial crimes controls to ensure alignment with regulatory and corporate requirements. * Serve as EFCC liaison for internal audit and issue management interactions. * Review business line metrics / quality assurance results / other reporting to identify weaknesses and define mitigation plans. * Support the development of EFCC and business line financial crimes-related training and materials. * Review and opine on business change and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies. * Assist and review third party (i.e. vendors) to identify potential financial crimes risk. * Execute quarterly BSA/AML and Economic Sanctions risk assessments and support communication of results to business line counterparts. Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience * Seven to ten years of applicable experience Preferred Skills/Experience * Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business * Considerable understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls * Considerable knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies * Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills * Must possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing workforce needs * Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills * Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations * Applicable professional certifications preferred US Bank Charlotte NC
