Rohr, Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for a Senior Manager, Airbus Procurement in Chula Vista, CA. This is a hybrid position that allows working remotely up to 2 days per week. Travel for supplier visits will be required approximately once per month, both within the US and to international suppliers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess new and existing suppliers in advance of an award and reactively assess poor performers in order to pinpoint and address supplier deficiencies and uncover areas in need of improvement to drive risk mitigation and improve processes throughout the supply base.

  • Analyze performance data and solicit feedback from internal stakeholders to prepare list of suppliers for reviews.

  • Perform Supplier Readiness Assessment reviews. Create and maintain Supplier Readiness Assessment schedule.

  • Drive schedule adherence with internal and external parties.

  • Create agendas for the Supplier Readiness Assessment reviews.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to drive continued improvements to SRA procedures and governance.

  • Prepare and present metrics regarding Supplier Readiness Assessment execution and action closure.

  • Extract and vet demand profiles from SAP system for use in supplier capacity studies. Drive continuous improvement of Tableau reporting visuals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance or a related field and at least 10 years of progressive experience as a Senior Buyer, Team Lead or related role working within Supply Chain and Program Management, managing a group of buyers and projects involving operations improvement & continuous improvement processes. In the alternative, at least a master's degree or its equivalent in Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance or a related field and at least 7 years of experience as a Senior Buyer, Team Lead or related role working within Supply Chain and Program Management, managing a group of buyers and projects involving operations improvement & continuous improvement processes would be acceptable.

  • At least 5 years of Aerospace Industry experience

  • At least 2 years of leadership experience as a people manager and or leading projects including multifunctional teams

  • At least 2 years of experience with Supply Chain processes and supplier interface

  • At least 1 year of current MRP/ERP systems experience.

The salary range for this position is $132,766.00 to $191,000.00 per year. This is the correct compensation range. Please disregard any additional verbiage noted below pertaining to the salary range.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
