The Sr. Manager, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering is responsible, under the direction of the VP of Operations, to lead manufacturing process development activities for Strategic Capex and Continuous Improvement Activities including Project Planning and Execution. A key focus of this position is to ensure we follow sound process development practices to engineer the right level of process automation integration to achieve our goals in Safety, Quality, Cost, Cycle Time, Capacity, Lead Time, Process Flow, Line Layout, Line Balanced Cadence, Material Flow and PFEP. Additionally, this position will work with the ME Managers at the Attachment Plants to guide and facilitate successful cross functional project execution, process continuous improvement and standardization across multiple facilities. The right candidate will possess a bias for action, be a cross functional problem solver and have the ability to make solid focused decisions.

Be able to manage a group of engineers in day to day activities.
Establish mature process development and project management processes.
Forecast resource requirements per project.
Complete all Project supporting documents Business Case, Capital Equipment Request / Justification and Project Plan.
Strong knowledge of automation innovation within the manufacturing community including best practices for Fabrication, Welding, Paint and Assembly.
Strong knowledge of tooling design and best practices as well as manage their design, construction, buyoff and launch.
Ability to work in large cross functional teams at multiple levels in the organization showing an eagerness to get involved, engage others and drive improvement in a fast paced environment.
Expert level knowledge of Process Development, Launch Statements of Work and Milestones.
Ability to select the best positioned equipment providers and integrators as well as define their scope of work, equipment specifications, manage the RFQ process, negotiate contracts and manage performance on the projects.
Support the NPD Process as well as DFM activities.
Work closely with site specific Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, Team Leaders and Operators to assist in the development and documentation of processes, procedures, and work instructions.
Comply with all local, state, and federal laws affecting this area of responsibility.
Perform all other duties as assigned as requested.
Ability to travel up to 50%.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technology required.
Proficiency with SolidWorks preferred and experience in usage of MRP systems a plus.
A Minimum of Ten years of work experience in a variety of manufacturing environments with an understanding of production automation not just limited to robotics.
Prior knowledge of steel fabrication, paint, welding and assembly preferred.
A thorough knowledge of basic concepts, LEAN principles and practices.
Strong background in Fixture Design, Machining, GD&T and coordinated datum schemes.
A basic understanding of ISO quality program requirements.
Excellent verbal and written skills plus the ability to conduct effective meetings
