Position Summary:

  • Develop and implement an internal communication strategy that supports corporate goals and initiatives to ensure strategic messages are communicated consistently to employees via executive platform communications, senior leadership team meetings, employee meetings and intranet news reporting. Ensure strategy and messaging complement global communication plans.

  • Demonstrate expertise in dealing with business partners at a strategic level, and influence communication approaches with senior leadership

  • Work with cross-functional groups to draft key messages for announcements, communication plans and executive presentations, and manage requests for communications assistance from various stakeholders

  • Develop and manage internal communications budget. Responsible for management of external vendors to ensure strategic approach and to optimize resources to best achieve ROI within budget.

  • Use in-depth knowledge of business, audience profiles and functional plans to align communication messages with business and strategic plans

  • Identify cutting edge tools and techniques to help support business objectives, advance storytelling and drive engagement

  • Maintain a keen understanding of trends affecting the healthcare industry and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them

  • Review and quality control of internal communications materials, ensuring a high level of standards and consistency with in-house tone of voice and writing style

  • Lead,co-create or support company-wide communication efforts to increase the understanding of business strategy, company priorities and key global initiatives

  • Support Corporate Communications and branding activities as needed

  • Drive internal awareness for maximized business opportunities around executive speaking/travel and events.

Requirements:

  • Education: Undergraduate degree, preferably in Communications or a related field

  • Minimum 7 years progressive experience in corporate communications, with an emphasis on internal communications, project management and employee engagement. Prior experience in biopharmaceutical space is highly preferable

  • Outstanding written and verbal skills, and proven experience managing high level communication plans and employee engagement events

  • Expert in Sharepoint intranet content development and other communication technology

  • Excellent PowerPoint and Word capabilities

  • Experience managing large scale events

  • Ability to work with senior executives from across the organization.

The qualified candidate will have: * A four-year degree or an advanced degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, with a major or concentration in accounting, finance, business or public administration, technology, or economics. * One of the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) or Certified Internal Audit (C.I.A.), or a similar professional designation or certification would be considered. * A minimum of 4–5 years of demonstrated progressive experience in auditing, financial, or operational analysis. * Extensive experience in the application of sound principles and best practices in auditing or business process analysis. * Ability to easily adapt between working independently or collaboratively. * Successfully completed audit projects independently. * Strong report writing, presentation, and research skills. * Ability to work on several projects simultaneously with minimal direction or oversight. * Maintain cooperative working relationships with contacts within and outside the Department. * Experience in information systems and software applications such as Microsoft Applications, ACL, TeamMate, Monarch, etc. The qualified candidate will be responsible for: * Conducting assigned audit engagements from beginning to end independently. * Performing risk assessments as assigned * Providing objective analyses, review internal controls, make recommendations to management, facilitate internal controls improvements and enhance operational procedures. * Ensuring audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances, and risk. * Developing audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives. * Obtaining and reviewing evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documented. THE INTERNAL AUDIT DIVISION The Internal Audit Division is charged with the important task of safeguarding County assets and reducing risk. The Division accomplishes this task, in part, by conducting independent audits, evaluations, and analyses to assist County management in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of County departments, programs, functions, and systems. Audits are conducted in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) guidelines. The Division utilizes paperless auditing as well as data analysis applications. Auditors have access to on-line audit guides and resources. The Controller's Office pays for professional membership and license dues.
