The Senior Manager, Accounting will report to the Corporate Controller with exposure to the VP Chief Accounting Officer. He/she will be part of a high-performing team and will be expected to lead, take ownership of his/her areas of responsibility and ensure accurate and timely completion of company reporting requirements. This role will provide a variety of opportunities to be visible in the company.
Key activities include but are not limited to:
Oversee operations for Accounts Payable, Payroll and stock administration
Supervision of accounting for marketing programs including cooperative advertising, marketing development funds, advertising media, and other marketing spend
Key contributor of month-end close process including;
Journal entry preparation
Review of work prepared by direct reports
Work closely with cross functional teams to research and analyze variances vs. plan/forecast and action accordingly
Critically review current accounting and reporting processes to identify ways to improve and automate
Ensure compliance of key accounting controls for Sarbanes Oxley purposes
Support of quarterly reviews and annual audits by internal and external auditors
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, MSA preferred
At least 7+ years accounting experience in public accounting or public / a similar accounting role.
Solid understanding of US GAAP, including ability to research and form own conclusions.
Exposure to Oracle or similar type system and strong Excel skills.
Experience with multi-national companies and complex consolidations

Experience outside of the public accounting environment, preferably within the manufacturing or consumer electronics environment.
Working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley.
