JOB SUMMARY: This is a Senior Management Analyst I position in the General Tax Administration, Program Director's Office, Workforce Development team. The incumbent acts as a subject matter expert and resource in the areas of Employee Relations, policy, procedure, and leadership best practices; represents the General Tax Administration Program in agency-wide initiatives and on intra-agency teams; and serves as the key program contact for Employee Relations to ensure timely and effective deployment of disciplinary actions.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Currently working for the Department of Revenue within the General Tax Administration Program.

  • Experience addressing Employee Relations issues.

  • Experience interpreting and applying policies or procedures.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office.

The Senior Management Analyst - Supervisor (Employer Support Services Supervisor) position is in the Division of Workforce Services and is responisble for overseeing the Foreign Labor Certification, Work Opportunity Tax Credit and Federal Bonding programs. We are seeking an experienced professional who is able to lead and motivate a team and spearhead the bureau's efforts related to developing and providing clear guidance for workforce development programs. The ideal candidate is someone who is knowledgeable about workforce development programs, is keenly able to develop and cultivate professional relationships both internally and externally and is an experienced policy and/or procedures writer. Provides guidance and technical assistance to employers, consultants, Local Workforce Development Boards and other partner agencies, as appropriate. Conducts detailed reviews of Temporary Employment Certification applications and supporting documentation to establish compliance and conformity with federal regulations. Corresponds with the United States Department of Labor regarding job orders. * Consults with management, other operational units and interested parties regarding day-to-day activities and program operations; accomplishments of goals and objective; problems and resolutions; recommendations that will impact future program operations and design; and the budgetary requirements and/or resources needed to be effectively serve the programs' customers. * Gathers data and submits required reports as necessary to meet federal requirements and/or management requests. Coordinates with the appropriate unit(s) to ensure accuracy in federal reporting as needed. * Establishes and maintains communication linkages with employers, consultants, federal partners, Local Workforce Development Boards, and other stakeholders, partners and interested parties to facilitate the FLC, WOTC and Federal Bonding programs in a manner consistent with federal and state requirements.
