JOBTITLE: Senior MaintenanceTechnician
REPORTS TO: Maintenance/Facilities Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
PURPOSE: The maintenance technician will perform tasks includingelectro-mechanical troubleshooting and repairs which include; control circuits,sensors, PLC I/O, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics/pumps. Dismantle and rebuildmachines that contain rollers, bearings and other mechanical mechanisms. Performpreventive and predictive maintenance, as well as fabrication andtroubleshooting to support a fast moving production line. In addition, performpreventive and predictive maintenance supporting the facility equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be aself-starter who is able to troubleshoot and repair of control circuits, motorcontrollers.
Repair andmaintain production machinery and equipment such as calenders, laminators,slitters, blenders and oil heaters.
Maintain andupdate an aggressive preventive maintenance schedule to include predictivemaintenance and machine data analysis to minimize downtime.
Utilizingmaintenance software maintain a thorough spare parts inventory supply forproduction machinery.
Assist othertechnicians in troubleshooting equipment and repairs.
AssistEngineering Department in the modification of existing equipment anddevelopment of new equipment.
Supportproduction department by providing suggestions and developing solutions asneeded.
Flexible and availableto work week days and weekends or as needed during a machine down situations.
Maintain andrepair basic facilities equipment and be point of contact during off shifthours for facilities issues.
Will be certifiedto use a fork lift, scissor lift and articulating boom lift.
Willing toreceive training on production electrical and mechanical systems.
Must be a teamplayer and work well with others.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum five yearsof experience with Industrial electrical controls.
Minimum fiveyears of experience with Industrial maintenance.
Prefer experiencePLC I/O and controls troubleshooting and repair.
Strong knowledgeof electrical control circuit and load circuit troubleshooting.
Proficientmechanical skills using appropriate hand, power tools to repair complexequipment.
Knowledge of PLCequipment, programs and ladder logic schematics. PLC programing.
Goodcommunication skills both verbal and written to be able to write detailedrepair reports.
1.Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical,hydraulic and pneumatic documents and drawings.
2.Speak and communicate clearly to others using technicalterms as needed.
Must be able to lift,stand, walk, bend, crouch, climb ladders, climb stairs, sit and move about thebuilding with no restrictions.
Must be able tolift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Mechanical,electrical, hot and cold areas of the building. Will need to access thebuilding rooftop during all seasons. Will be required to use fall protection harness,eye, ear protection and steel toe shoes.
