The ideal candidate for this position will have worked in a water or wastewater plant as a certified operator performing day-to-day operations and maintenance activities. In addition to be being a certified operator, experience in developing, implementing and enhancing a maintenance program is core to the expertise needed to successfully fill this position. Although this position is technical in nature, the candidate must possess appropriate communication skills to facilitate client workshops, mediate differences of opinion, and participate effectively in a business development environment. The ability to provide start-up commissioning guidance to clients and BC team members is strongly desired, as this is critical to the successful completion of our projects.
A majority of the projects will require analyzing computer maintenance management programs (CMMS) and associated data and making recommendations to improve their effectiveness. This includes developing equipment maintenance strategies, maintenance schedules, planning and scheduling activities, spare parts warehousing strategies, and the ability to provide training on these items.
The operations projects beyond start-up and commissioning are usually focused on providing training on plant operations processes and developing Operations and Maintenance manuals. Thus, the ability to develop content for the O&M manuals is essential. This involves written documentation and developing the training materials associated with educating clients on the content of the O&M manuals.
The position does require the candidate to be able to travel all over the US and have the physical ability to access water and wastewater plants, collection system and water pump stations and on rare occasions confined space locations. Although you will be part of a team the candidate will work on most projects no other consulting O&M staff present therefore, requires the candidate to have a lot of self-confidence and be comfortable using technology required to work remotely.
Desired Skills and Experience:
10 years of operations and maintenance experience required
Mechanical, electrical or instrumentation experience on maintaining plant equipment
Experience planning and scheduling
Current Water Treatment Operator Certification or Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification/license strongly preferred

Knowledge of or experience with predictive maintenance tools (Thermography, Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis)
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) experience or certification is a plus
Failure Modes Effect Analysis (FMEA) experience a plus
Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional or Certified Maintenance Leader a plus (CMRP or CML)
Proven ability to develop and facilitate workshops focused on improving maintenance management
Ability to travel 60-75%
